I’m regretting having this year’s holidays so close together, we usually go April and September. Definitely got the post holiday blues.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -

Had a lovely catch up at my friend’s house but unfortunately was tainted by an extremely unreliable bus service to her village in a neighbouring county. Waited over an hour for a bus in the city centre and it still hadn’t arrived so had to catch a bus to a town not too far from her and she picked me up from there. The bus did turn up on the return journey but was 30 minutes late and arrived at a time that bore no resemblance to the one on the timetable 🤬 As she said they want you to be more environmentally friendly and use public transport but how can you when some places have such dire bus services.
Left the house at 8am and eventually got home at 6pm.Money wise had enough stamps on my Caffe Ner0 app for a free coffee and also picked up the free paper from Waitr0se.Birthday drinks wise have received an offer of a free bottle of Prosecco in All Bar 1 in Birmingham (not been in there for 5 years), free Prosecco in Prezz0 (not been in there for 10 plus years), a free bottle of wine in a pub in a village about 5 miles from us I’ve not been in for 2 years. Meanwhile our local pub that I was in Wednesday has offered me a paltry 25% off a bottle of Prosecco 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I'm with you on the buses. I saw a list and we are just about the lowest in the country for provision, and the ones that do run aren't reliable. I'd give up my car if I could, I don't really use it a lot, but I can't get to those places I do use the car for!

I've had free bus pass for 14 months now & used it once! That's how rubbish the buses are in our area. Can't even get to half the places I'd like to go to without going into city & out again, whuch is so time consuming. Even bus to our nearest town, just about 4 miles away, takes 30 mins as it goes all round housing estates.Making the debt go down and savings go up
