You do know how to get a bargain SA.  I will check out that although I have pledged not to buy any more gin until I have drunk the rest of my drinks cabinet as we have 2 full bottles of vodka, bacardi and rum so I need to check out drinks using those before buying more spirits.

    Morning all, happy Tuesday.

WFH this morning then going into the office after I've eaten my lunch as I'm going to a retirement do. Going to lock my laptop in a locker overnight so at least I won't have to cart it to the do and back home only to bring it back again in the morning.

Mr M delivery all packed away before 6.30. Load of washing on and will be on the line shortly.

Today's exercise will be bums & tums at lunchtime then walking to/from work.

Not sure about tonight's dinner as I don't know if there'll be food at the retirement do, or indeed, if there is food,  it'll be anything I like. I can grab something quick out of the freezer when I get home if need be.

Enjoy the retirement do. Good call on locking the computer away until tomorrow.
I don’t like gin but looks like a bargain 👍 enjoy. I’m more of  a pina colada girl 😁
The event in the park sounded like a lovely day. You had a perfect day for it.

I’ve only just sat down. The retirement do was ok. Everyone got one drink and a slice of pizza. I looked around and didn’t know the majority of the people there.

I was quite surprised how busy the retirement venue was for a Tuesday late afternoon/early evening. Then walking through the city centre on the way home the bars and restaurants were busy. Even the little real ale pub at the end of my road was busy. On a Tuesday!

Stopped off at Lid! for the free seeded sourdough loaf.

Got home and had to clear up the mess Mr SA had left in the kitchen, pots everywhere. I’d put a chicken hot pot in the slow cooker so he could help himself to his dinner and he hadn’t even thought to take the pot out of the slow cooker let alone leave it to soak.

Then had to cook myself something to eat as one slice of pizza didn’t hit the spot. Just air fried a lightly dusted yellowfin sole portion with steamed veg.

Time for bed now as have an early start tomorrow. Can’t WFH as laptop is already at work 😆 Will be brilliant walking to work with just a handbag tomorrow though.

  • Your Christmas pot must be looking quite healthy in July, you've put loads of bits and bobs in there, well done you!
