Morning all. Just a quick drop in as I’m due at the event shortly.Already been out for a paper and bought some great yellow sticker bargains from the little Mr T. A huge steak for £3 for Mr SA and 2 packs of 2 x ready cooked salmon £2 each.Mr SA has just taken the dog out mainly to be nosy at the event setting up. I’ll probably be back and forth across the road as I am most definitely not using porta loos. Not just for the cleanliness aspect but I find them very claustrophobic. So pleased we’ve got good weather for it. This will be the first event of its kind for 30 plus years so hopefully will get a good amount of attendees.See you on the other side.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

The event went really well. Shame it was marred towards the end by some teenagers who thought it would be fun to throw loo roll from the porta loos everywhere 🤬 They were quite abusive when confronted, the police were called but didn’t turn up surprise surprise 😞
That aside it was great and lovely to see so many people enjoying the park.Mr SA made an appearance a couple of times on his scooter with the dog. He won four prizes on the tombola but put two back, one of them was something I’d donated 😆
I’m absolutely shattered, it’s been a long day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Shame about the teenagers but other than that... sounds like a good day.
LOL at Mr SA winning something you'd donated. It was nice of him to put the extras back (it wasn't garden produce, was it?
)

That’s another weekend gone in a flash.Had another busy day trying to catch up with losing yesterday.Took everything out of both freezers, wrote a list of what’s in there and organised them both. There is now actually some room. Amazing how much space there is when everything is tidy 🙂
Meal plan for the week done based on what’s in stock.Took the dog on the park and combined that with litter picking from yesterday’s event. Then went to another bigger park’s event but only walked round just to see what was there. After lunch mowed both lawns and cut some height from a bush that’s finished flowering. Almost filled the garden waste bin already.Vacuumed and dusted the house, just a quick whisk round.Finished reading my current book in the garden as the weather has been nice.Another NSD.Tonight’s dinner was teriyaki aubergine from the new PON air fryer cookbook with lime and coriander rice. Enjoyed it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Wow that’s a busy day you’ve had SA, exhausted just reading it. Though it does feel good when you look back and seeing how much you have done. Love a good freezer clear out and list making, makes it easier when I am asked everyday “what’s for tea”, I just give them the list and tell them to pick. I need to catch up with my reading, getting behind with it especially as I have a book waiting to start when I finish my current read.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.004

Morning all, happy Monday, another new week.
WFH today so a nice relaxing start to the day with my book and coffee. Already done two loads of washing.
New 4 week budget period starts today and the last 4 weeks resulted in an underspend of £147.11 which is good but not that good considering we were on holiday for a week of it. But anyway... It has been shared out as follows: £7.11 to the Christmas pot, £50.00 to the holiday pot (was £50 short in this pot for some reason), £50 to the personal spends pot and £40 to the stock up shop pot (this is a new pot set aside for when things I buy regularly are on a really good offer).
An oddment of £5.63 left in the current account was also sent to the Christmas pot.
Today's to do list:
Spanish challenges (some done already)
Surveys (not been doing very well this month, lost my motivation for them a bit so need to get back on it)
Take coffee pods to the shop to be recycled
Clean kitchen
Small bit of ironing
Finalise tomorrow's Mr M order
Exercise
Take the dog on the park later this morning
Lunchtime Pilates class (FitOn app)
5pm Total Body Blast (FitOn app)
Tonight's dinner is Caribbean style salmon bowl - this will use up lime & coriander rice from last night and one of the pre cooked salmon fillets I bought reduced price on Saturday.
