Morning all, happy hump day.
Weather is wet and cloudy here so glad I'm not pavement pounding my way to the office this morning. Could get used to WFH and the slow starts to the morning.
Mr SA is already up so a long day ahead on that front.
I slept a lot better last night, I don't know what it is with waking up so early on Tuesdays, certainly not excitement for the day ahead 😆
The MnS beauty box arrived yesterday and I love it. Lots of full sized products all packed into a very handy reusable bag, well worth a lot more than £30.
I got the bottom part of the garden tidied yesterday so another bit done. I'm really pleased with how doing things in small chunks is making a difference, just need to keep up the momentum. WFH is helping greatly as I'm gaining back the 2 hours I usually spend walking to/from the office.
Today's to do list
Book in older cat for booster (made several attempts to do this yesterday but kept getting cut off)
Gardening task - greenhouse and surrounding area
Cleaning task - living room
Take the dog on the park
Post a birthday card
Spanish learning - already done
Today's exercise is dog walking, a lunchtime walk and Zumba at 6pm.
Tonight's dinner is spinach, mushroom and chickpea curry.
On the money front the home insurance and Mr M delivery pass payments have gone out so need to transfer the money from the annual payments pot to the current account.
Chipping away at the garden has identified a few things needing to be bought so could do with a trip to somewhere like B&Q or B&M this weekend. Some things will need to be ordered online as too heavy to carry. Definitely need some bedding plants for the many empty pots.

Ah, your beauty box arrived loads quicker than mine and I ordered first 😬 My jacket arrived yesterday, so I expect it will be along in a few days if I’m lucky. I do envy real world delivery speeds 😁

What a thoroughly miserable day! Got soaked walking to the post box this morning. It was quite funny because although I'd gone out with the sole purpose of posting the card I went on auto pilot, walked straight past the post box and headed for Mr T before realising and having to turn back 🤣
Managed to get out with the dog eventually when the rain slowed down. She was driving me nuts whimpering to go out. She wasn't so keen when she realised it was raining but we still took her on the park. She's now on the sofa having thrown off all the cushions and the throw.
Mr SA seems a bit brighter today and hasn't complained of feeling unwell - yet.
I'm determined to fit in 30 minutes tidying of the greenhouse shortly although it's too wet to do anything meaningful outside. The mangetout and sugar snaps are producing like mad now and some should be ready to pick in a couple of days. Good job I love them 🤣
Another £6 became payable in Quidco so cashed that out. £21 from there in total this week. Desperate for Opinium to send me a survey as just 15p away from cashing out.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Good to hear everything is returning to normal ( with the exception of cleaning up accidents) The half hour a day doing garden jobs really makes a difference- that was my strategy whilst painting the fences….glad I stuck at it.

Morning all, Thursday already, edging ever closer to that long bank holiday weekend 😁
Hopefully the day hasn't started as it means to go on as Mr SA has wet the bed despite having a pad on and a urinal at the side of the bed and the young cat has peed on the doormat despite having a cat litter tray 😞
Anyway...
Today's to do list:
Spanish lessons - already done
Keep a look out for surveys
Take gel polish off nails ready for appointment tomorrow
Clean bedroom including change and wash bedding 😐
Garden task - tidy area outside greenhouse
I need to try and fit in a trip to Lid! either today or tomorrow. Not been in there since before we went on holiday, their takings will be down.
Today's exercise is dog walking, a lunchtime Pilates class and Zumba tonight. Maybe walking to/from Lidl will be thrown into the mix. Aiming for a minimum of 15,000 steps.
Making spiced butternut squash stew with herb dumplings for dinner. This is one I've made many times before and it's delicious. I sub pumpkin for butternut squash and leave out the egg glaze as I hate eggs with a passion. I haven't got any parsley so will use rosemary in the dumplings and garnish with coriander.
I managed to get out to the greenhouse yesterday and gave it a good tidy up. I evicted 5 small slugs then set up a beer trap as they're eating my Chinese cabbage. Mr SA wasn't too happy about donating some of his beer but all to a good cause 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I can’t have doormats, they are all peed on instantly, despite having 5 litter trays. I don’t think there’s an answer, but you have my sympathy. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
