Oh SA - I really feel for you!  Thank goodness you've turned the phone off. I hope you have a peaceful night's sleep.
I'm sorry to hear that Mr SA is still very poorly though - and can only echo everybody else's amazement that you were asked to clean Mr SA!  I'm glad you're going to be forwarding on a stiff complaint.
    Great news about DD though.

Has he asked them to let you do it SA (and refused to let them)?

That happened with a relative of mine although in this case his wife is used to it as she does it at home when needed and wasn't bothered.

Another vote for a complaint to PALS. It needs investigating. Imagine if you’d hurt your back trying to move him! 😢

I agree with others that a complaint is in order especially if they are expecting to do it without gloves.  without gloves. If they are cleaning him without gloves you wonder about the infection control on the ward.
Whilst he on the new ward I think you should have a word with the senior nurse on duty and explain in words of one syllable about mr SA not always trelling the truth and insist that anything he saysshould be checked backwith you. I know its not in your nature but be a nuisance to them and if they try to send him home before you think he is ready refuse to accept him at home. You will have to argue with them but your health is too important to make compromises with. Sorry to sound bossy but hospitals seem to have two modes - one keeping patients when they need to be at hom or kicking them out too soon. I have experienced both and to the detriment of the patient.

I don't know how you do everything, I'm in awe.  I can't believe you were left to clean up Mr SA, even if it was a misunderstanding.

    Hope DD is ok.

I hope you get your quiet day today xx

Good news that DD is looking better and well enough to be home. Hope her scan goes well today.

Glad they have kept Mr SA in as well, he clearly isn't well enough to be coming home yet.

Hope you can have a quieter day today.

Here's hoping for good news from DD's scan - or at least an answer so a suitable treatment plan can be put in place.

Suggestion on Mr SA/Cleaning up etc - assume that this time was a misunderstanding (although they shouldn't have allowed you to do it, regardless, and should have gently explained why they couldn't even had the nurse thought you actually wanted to!) but keep a close eye for anything of that sort again. If you have something similar in the future, then ask for a clear re-explanation of the request - along the lines of "sorry - with the background noise I didn't quite catch that, could you clarify what you're asking please?" and then if it turns out that it IS a request for that sort of thing, then politely say that you're really not comfortable either with doing it, or indeed being asked to do it. You can then make the assumption that the conversation is closed, but can also take a view on complaining.
