Has he asked them to let you do it SA (and refused to let them)?
That happened with a relative of mine although in this case his wife is used to it as she does it at home when needed and wasn't bothered.2 -

Morning all.
Thinking back to yesterday and having to clean up Mr SA I think I may have misinterpreted what the nurse said as she had a strong accent and it was very noisy on the ward. I thought she said is it ok to clean him up and I thought she meant she was going to clean him up. So it might have been a misunderstanding on my part and I inadvertently agreed to clean him up.
I'm going to attempt to take the dog on the park today. I'm going to try a different entrance, the one we normally use when we take her to see if that makes a difference. There is a little quiet bit tucked away that no one else uses so there won't be any other dogs.
DD has just left for her scan. It was weird to hear her up showering at 6am as she's never been an early riser. Hopefully tomorrow we should have some answers and a treatment plan. She's hoping they don't keep her in as there is a possibility.
I switched on my phone this morning expecting to find lots of missed calls from Mr SA but there weren't any. No doubt there'll be plenty today now he can't find his lip balm and has decided he needs a different bag. I'm determined not to visit today unless the hospital ask me to. I'm going to tell him DD needs me to take her some clean clothes. I need a break from it today.
Exercise will be dog walking (hopefully!), an interval training class at lunchtime and I'm determined to do the 5.30 Zumba class as it always cheers me up.
Work-wise I'm hoping to be able to get more done today. Yesterday the IT systems were very slow and glitchy - it took me over 3 hours to do something that should've taken less than an hour! So frustrating!
Need to sort something out for dinner. Last night I made a veggie chilli so there's some left for lunch today. I can't really think straight to make a meal plan and I just don't really fancy anything in particular at the moment.
I need to try and get some cleaning done today although without Mr SA here it's a lot cleaner than normal. Heavenly not to have a kitchen worktop full of crumbs and coffee stains.
In good news I've finally spotted Jaws the one remaining fish in the pond. I hadn't seen him since we got home and the water had got quite murky with no one to switch on the pump. Anyway the water has cleared and I spotted him swimming about. He's nicknamed Jaws because he's huge and black like a shark 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10 -
I agree with others that a complaint is in order especially if they are expecting to do it without gloves. without gloves. If they are cleaning him without gloves you wonder about the infection control on the ward.Whilst he on the new ward I think you should have a word with the senior nurse on duty and explain in words of one syllable about mr SA not always trelling the truth and insist that anything he saysshould be checked backwith you. I know its not in your nature but be a nuisance to them and if they try to send him home before you think he is ready refuse to accept him at home. You will have to argue with them but your health is too important to make compromises with. Sorry to sound bossy but hospitals seem to have two modes - one keeping patients when they need to be at hom or kicking them out too soon. I have experienced both and to the detriment of the patient.2

I don't know how you do everything, I'm in awe. I can't believe you were left to clean up Mr SA, even if it was a misunderstanding.
Hope DD is ok.
I hope you get your quiet day today xx"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Good news that DD is looking better and well enough to be home. Hope her scan goes well today.
Glad they have kept Mr SA in as well, he clearly isn't well enough to be coming home yet.
Hope you can have a quieter day today.2 -

Here's hoping for good news from DD's scan - or at least an answer so a suitable treatment plan can be put in place.
Suggestion on Mr SA/Cleaning up etc - assume that this time was a misunderstanding (although they shouldn't have allowed you to do it, regardless, and should have gently explained why they couldn't even had the nurse thought you actually wanted to!) but keep a close eye for anything of that sort again. If you have something similar in the future, then ask for a clear re-explanation of the request - along the lines of "sorry - with the background noise I didn't quite catch that, could you clarify what you're asking please?" and then if it turns out that it IS a request for that sort of thing, then politely say that you're really not comfortable either with doing it, or indeed being asked to do it. You can then make the assumption that the conversation is closed, but can also take a view on complaining.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
