It's a relief Mr SA is staying in, stressful though it is. And I'm so pleased your DD is looking a lot better.
Hope you rest well tonight.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I'm sorry Mr SA isn't getting better but what a relief they kept him in. It really is the safest place for him, and for you while he's a fall risk.
Um, I'm shocked you were asked to do a proper clean of Mr SA. You need to put a complaint in. That was not safe for you or him, or the hospital in terms of liability. I know you have a lot on at the moment (well, all the time) but please try to send an email- that is really, really not on.
Well done for sorting out the drawers, that's a stressful job that needed to be done, done. And if you can keep any bits he's forgotten about for future pesters all the better!
Fantastic news that DD is back, hope you both have a lovely evening and a peaceful good night's kip x

I'm a bit confused SA. Did you have to physically move MrSA to 'clean him up'? If so it's a 2 person job and they shouldn't be asking you to do it! Nurses are trained in moving patients about - wives aren't, and if you damaged him or yourself doing it who would be held responsible.Good that DD is looking and sounding better, but to be honest if she has to be back first thing then it would probably have been easier to keep her in. I know the NHS is in a total mess, but she seems to have had a lot of overnight transfusions, so is something happening at the end of the day that calls for this?Really hoping that you have a peaceful night. Glad DD is home and looking better. Fingers crossed you oth have a peaceful night at home and MrSA is comfortable in hospital overnight.
I'm taken aback that you were asked to clean MrSA - that's not what hospital visiting is for. If you are asked again would you feel confident to say no? Presumably it's part of someone's actual job for which they get trained and paid and hopefully they do clean him up when you aren't there.1 -
I couldn’t believe she asked me to do that either! I couldn’t get him to turn properly to make a good job of it and I thought stuff it it’s not my job while he’s in your care so it was very slap dash. Definitely a complaint is going in about that! I used to wear rubber gloves to change my kids nappies for goodness sake 😆
He’s been moved again now so hopefully to a more sympathetic to brain injured people part.I’ve had a couple of ranting calls from him, one to say he can’t find his lip balm and another to say he needs me to bring in a different bum bag to the one he has with him. I haven’t told him DD is home and said I had to see her tomorrow with clean PJs so he’d have to wait.My phone is now switched off.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
