You were definitely missed by the pets. Your little dog will be so relieved to have you home. My cats often sleep on my head too.

Glad to here that DD and the pets are all ok.

We can't leave our dog anywhere or with anyone. He gets so upset if we leave him, which can be really difficult at times. He is fine for short periods on his own at home or in the car or van but anywhere else he just freaks out.

Thankfully we can take him on holiday with us.

Your animals seem to be saying they missed you and they aren't letting you go anywhere without consulting them first. It's great your daughter is feeling so much better but I do understand you wanting to postpone the holiday. Would an option be moving it to later this year, so you don't have such a big gap but you will have had longer to assess how your daughter is?

And I'm so pleased you have a day out with a friend soon.

Good idea @Humdinger1, a spa day sounds just what you need. How about getting Mr SA into respite care for a few days, so you could actually have a proper break. You need to care for yourself, not just for others. x

Oh goodness SA, just catching up on everything - poor DD, she must have been terrified with that happening while she was on her own. Bless her trying to clean up before you got back too - I imagine the hospital wouldn't have been best chuffed about that!  I can completely understand you feeling as though postponing your July trip might be sensible too - not least as it will give you a bit of extra time to get over the anxiety as well as seeing how DD is. Thank goodness DS was able to step up for the pets.  You must have known, having that extra key cut!
