SA could you sit down with your daughter and let her know how you feel and come to some arrangement where you could get some time to yourself a short break or even a weekend away by yourself you really deserve it you work so hard looking after everyone and everything4

Why did I think it was a good idea to order a Mr M delivery for 7.30 am 🥱 I really didn’t want to get up and showered at 6.30.Trying to put the shopping away then DD appeared to get her breakfast followed by Mr SA.I told DD I was thinking of changing the July holiday to next year and she’s adamant she’s fine now she’s sorted with the iron injections and other medication. I’ll give it a couple of weeks then decide. Apparently you can change the date for an admin fee.I have a day off in a couple of weeks for a catch up with a friend and really looking forward to that.Could do without the Red Cross coming today. Hopefully they won’t be here long. I’ve got so much to do.The dog slept by my side all night. She cried when we got home last night. The young cat slept behind my pillow all night then followed me into the bathroom when I got up to shower.Mr SA had me searching all over for his scooter and house keys and found them in his coat pocket after insisting he’d already checked.Anyway sitting here won’t make inroads into unpacking or cleaning. Will take the dog on the park once the scooter has been swapped over. She keeps bringing me her ball. Also planning to do my Zumba class tonight, need to get back on it.Need to sort something out for dinner tonight. Didn’t really order a lot from Mr M just basics but there’s plenty in the freezer. Hopefully will get my appetite back now I’m home.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Glad to here that DD and the pets are all ok.
We can't leave our dog anywhere or with anyone. He gets so upset if we leave him, which can be really difficult at times. He is fine for short periods on his own at home or in the car or van but anywhere else he just freaks out.
Thankfully we can take him on holiday with us.3 -
Your animals seem to be saying they missed you and they aren't letting you go anywhere without consulting them first. It's great your daughter is feeling so much better but I do understand you wanting to postpone the holiday. Would an option be moving it to later this year, so you don't have such a big gap but you will have had longer to assess how your daughter is?
And I'm so pleased you have a day out with a friend soon.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

You are the maypole everyone dances around @Sun_Addict. Please book several days off from work/everyday life to meet friends or just go to a spa; you can set off as if for work, as you have to do to get any time to yourself. If you implode - and it would be entirely understandable - everything falls over. Love Humdinger xx6

Good idea @Humdinger1, a spa day sounds just what you need. How about getting Mr SA into respite care for a few days, so you could actually have a proper break. You need to care for yourself, not just for others. xMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Oh goodness SA, just catching up on everything - poor DD, she must have been terrified with that happening while she was on her own. Bless her trying to clean up before you got back too - I imagine the hospital wouldn't have been best chuffed about that! I can completely understand you feeling as though postponing your July trip might be sensible too - not least as it will give you a bit of extra time to get over the anxiety as well as seeing how DD is. Thank goodness DS was able to step up for the pets. You must have known, having that extra key cut!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

@EssexHebridean it was a very light clean up as I found out in the cold light of day.@Humdinger1 I’m not really struck on going to a spa but always make sure I book in days off for myself.@Makingabobor2 he’d hate respite care. I’d never hear the last of it from him and he’d be ringing me every 5 minutes. It would be too stressful.@Cherryfudge postponing to, say, late August is a possibility. I’m going to see what happens over the next couple of weeks before deciding. DD is adamant she’s on the mend now and will be fine for July.I haven’t felt particularly motivated today but have almost finished unpacking, cleaned the whole house and done a few loads of washing. The dog was overjoyed to have a ball throw on the park. Mr SA took her out for a couple of scooter rides out.I managed to get a Mr M slot for tomorrow afternoon to get the things I forgot on today’s order.Still not done the payday money shuffle, that will be tomorrow’s priority, it can wait another day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
