We’ve just been out for a coffee and now sitting in the sunshine. The scooter is being picked up around 12. Had a struggle fitting everything back into the cases but it’s done now.Spoke to DD and she was just waiting for the doctor to check her over before hopefully being discharged.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Glad to hear that DD is ready to be discharged.
The dog will be fine for a night on here own. They are hardy creatures.
Hope you have a safe journey home. It starting to warm up here so it won't be such a shock getting off the plane to the UK weather

We arrived home about 9pm. The dog and cats are fine. The dog was really shocked to see us, it felt like we’d been away a month not just a week.DD is home but seems to be totally out of it, possibly medication. She usually meets us in the drive with the dog but didn’t this time. She does appear to have cleaned up a bit though as I can’t see anything and the mop and bucket are out.Had a super smooth flight back but Mr SA was a pain and kept trying to use the toilets when we were landing. They had to tell him to get back in his seat 4 times! He wouldn’t listen to me it was embarrassing.How I feel right now it’s just not worth the hassle of going on holiday it’s too stressful for me. I have the stress of looking after Mr SA and I hate leaving the dog. I’m a bit cross with DD as she seemed to be totally unbothered about the dog being on her own and just wanted to stay in hospital where she could stay in bed having food brought to her.Got a Mr M delivery coming in the morning plus Mr SA’s new scooter plus the Red Cross are coming about the rails.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Ah SA, it’s just not fair is it 😢 I haven’t had a holiday for 13 years because I just can’t leave the dog either. She wouldn’t understand kennels and I don’t have anyone I could leave her with, so I totally understand the feelings you have. You thought she was safe with family in her own environment and it didn’t quite work out that way. It just feels so unfair…of all the times something could happen it had to be your holiday week 😣 I second cherrys suggestion of having some time to yourself if you can.
