I've been reading along for a while, you really are the glue holding everything together. I totally understand you don't fancy a spa break but what about looking into local ones for a day out or even an afternoon to yourself? I've yet to go but there is a posh hotel near me that has a 'spa' that is two pools with sun loungers, (one indoor one outdoor) a cafe and lots of grounds to do a nature walk in with a sauna and whirlpool and so on. I've thought It might be a relaxing place to spend a few hours in the past. Never actually done it but it has always been one of the things I might do sometime.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -
Morning all
Finally done the payday shuffle. A massive chunk of the direct debits have gone out now. Another £100 overpayment has gone to the mortgage.
Savings added:
Premium Bonds £100
YBS Christmas Saver £150.00
Principality RS £250.00
Nationwide RS £200.00
Glasses/vet/appliances £120.00
Annual payments £70.00
A few oddments mounted up to £14.02 and sent to the Christmas pot.
The holiday pot took a bit hit as had to pay off the July holiday balance 😐
Credit card balance has been cleared.
Got another Mr M delivery coming this afternoon. Added a few extra bits to it as DD said staff discount is 20% today. Ordered a 2kg bag of red lentils and the same of chana dal. Already discounted to £2.59 so will get another 20% off, good bargain I thought.
Exercise today will be dog walking later, stretch & tone at lunchtime and Zumba tonight. Slowly getting back into my routine.
Tonight's dinner is stir fry.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
