Well I started reading today's posts and was impressed by Mr SA's well thought out greenhouse relocation but by the end there was more of the Mr SA we all know (and love??) :)

Who props a radiator up and thinks that's fixed?

Glad you did not get hurt by the radiator "falling" off the wall.  Not had that one before but I assume Mr SA had something to do with it before he propped it up.

Finally Mr SA has got an appointment about his falls next week. To be honest it will probably be a complete waste of time as there isn't really anything that can be done. It would be good if they could send someone out to look at suitable rails in the bathroom (and fit them) as that's where the majority of his falls tend to be. I know you can buy them but I want to be certain we're getting the right ones plus they need to be fitted properly.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Even if they can't do anything more than rails practical-wise, you should make sure they're aware that he's not been giving honest accounts and that all his records with all healthcare teams need to say in big letters on the front 'check with Mrs SA' otherwise neither of you will get the support you need (if there's ever any available!)

I assume you will go to Mr SAs appointment. Insist you want a visit from an OT as you think (know) that grab rails etc. would help him. You don't know what is available or the best things for him (yes I know but sometimes appearing incapable or even stupid works). You may need to be insistent as I am sure you can be. Go prepared with a list of incidents and as PennyintoPounds saysmake sure that in future they must talk to you as well as him to get a proper story.

Hope they sort some rails for Mr SA. Like you say there’s not much else they can do….just try and make things as easy and safe as possible for you all.
Hope the radiator gets sorted soon.
