Well I started reading today's posts and was impressed by Mr SA's well thought out greenhouse relocation but by the end there was more of the Mr SA we all know (and love??)
Who props a radiator up and thinks that's fixed?

Glad you did not get hurt by the radiator "falling" off the wall. Not had that one before but I assume Mr SA had something to do with it before he propped it up.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Glad you're okay and that you could get a plumber quickly. You're a kinder person than me so you probably won't be taking Mr SA's tenner off him to contribute to the cost but I hope you at least show him your bruised leg and give him a stern talking to! Not that he deserves being rewarded by you flashing some leg at him 😁5

Morning all
I don't know what happened with the radiator yesterday and how it came to fall off the wall in the first place. Mr SA is so clumsy I wouldn't be surprised if he had something to do with it. The plumber is going to try and get at some point later today if he can. He's doing a big job that involves him taking up flooring to get to pipes and he doesn't know how long it will take. Failing that he's definitely coming tomorrow. I've got to clear the cupboard under the stairs out as the pipe to the living room comes through to there and he needs to get to it.
WFH today and probably tomorrow as well. I'm thankful I can do this otherwise I'd have to take time off. Although Mr SA is in all day he's not good with dealing with this sort of thing on his own.
Today's exercise plan is taking the dog on the park later this morning, strength training at lunchtime and Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner is salmon with stir fried vegetables. I have a portion of leftover Spanish-style chickpea stew for lunch.
It should be NSD5 as I don't think the radiator will be fixed today. I need to go to Lid! at some stage but can leave that until tomorrow. It's a pain as I had planned to pop in on my way home from work tomorrow and will now have to go out of my way. Can't be helped though these things happen.
I can hear Mr SA getting up so time for the mayhem to start.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Finally Mr SA has got an appointment about his falls next week. To be honest it will probably be a complete waste of time as there isn't really anything that can be done. It would be good if they could send someone out to look at suitable rails in the bathroom (and fit them) as that's where the majority of his falls tend to be. I know you can buy them but I want to be certain we're getting the right ones plus they need to be fitted properly.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Even if they can't do anything more than rails practical-wise, you should make sure they're aware that he's not been giving honest accounts and that all his records with all healthcare teams need to say in big letters on the front 'check with Mrs SA' otherwise neither of you will get the support you need (if there's ever any available!)2

I assume you will go to Mr SAs appointment. Insist you want a visit from an OT as you think (know) that grab rails etc. would help him. You don't know what is available or the best things for him (yes I know but sometimes appearing incapable or even stupid works). You may need to be insistent as I am sure you can be. Go prepared with a list of incidents and as PennyintoPounds saysmake sure that in future they must talk to you as well as him to get a proper story.3

Hope they sort some rails for Mr SA. Like you say there’s not much else they can do….just try and make things as easy and safe as possible for you all.
Hope the radiator gets sorted soon.January spends - £587.582 -
Was just going to suggest OT referral as a priority but the lovely @ladyholly has beaten me to it ☺️I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
