Hope the greenhouse goes up nicely for SA and doesn’t need too much input. Wonder what he’ll spend his money on???January spends - £587.582

He managed to successfully assemble the mini greenhouse with just a bit of assistance from me. If anyone is thinking about getting one Lid1 are doing them next week for £16.99. Ours was £19.99 from Am@zon and I’m pleased with it. It seems sturdy enough anyway and there’s plenty of room in it.@milann I’m hoping he’ll just hang onto it in case he needs it rather than spend it for the sake of it. I like to keep a bit of cash on me, it comes in handy for charity donations, charity shop purchases, hairdresser tip, etc.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Happy Friday 😁
I'm in the office today but only working until lunchtime.
There was a strange cat on the patio this morning which upset both of mine although it seemed very friendly.
It won't be a NSD as I need to pick up a couple of things from Lid! on the way home plus I've booked and paid for a nail appointment next Friday.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work and a stretching/yoga type session when I get home. Looking forward to a long soak in the bath after the yoga session. I don't get time in the week for a bath so it feels like a real treat.
Tonight's dinner is smoked haddock fish cake with lots of steamed veg.
Looking forward to putting my feet up with a glass of wine tonight.

DD paid her board today so that’s been sent to the holiday pot. An oddment of £2 sent to the Christmas pot.Stopped off at Waitr0se on the way home for the free paper and a bunch of £1 daffodils. Also passed an outdoor fruit stall and picked up a punnet of strawberries and a punnet of raspberries for £1 each. They both taste good so very pleased with them. Stopped off at Lid! as planned.Got home to find all the seeds I planted in the heated propagator last Sunday, bar the aubergines, have germinated 🥳 The tomatoes are quite tall already.Mr SA said he almost bought another man bag from a local charity shop with his £10. Bearing in mind he’s just had a new one and got rid of several 😐 That £10 is burning a hole in his pocket!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Your seeds are doing better than mine, I'm waiting on the current ones to germinate before I plant more from your recommended seed site.
I hope he is getting his £10 of smiles from planning his spending. I think we all spend differently after all.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
So far today I’ve done a YG survey, today’s Spanish challenges and a live Zumba class. Just having a coffee break then will be taking the dog for a run on the park followed by going to the local shops for a paper. No visitors today so plan to spend some time in the garden tidying up. I need to at least put something in the garden waste bin even if I don’t fill it as they’re coming to empty it on Tuesday. The sun is just coming out after some rain first thing.Pizza and Prosecco tonight. The charity shop bag will haunt Mr SA although I think he might hold out until we go on holiday for another bag as there’s such a vast choice where we go he won’t be able to resist 😆 He has already said he’s going to look for a necklace with a bullet on it 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Mr SA had a phone call on Thursday totally out of the blue from his consultant for his annual telephone consultation. He didn’t know he had this appointment so it was fortunate he had his phone with him. The letter telling him about the appointment arrived today and was dated Thursday 😐I’ve managed to fill the garden waste bin as I’ve chopped some dead branches off our one remaining conifer. The weather has been lovely, very pleasant in the sun.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
