Oh my word, hope it doesn't take too long to get him home. I know from experience with my mum that they don't always go the most direct route & often have to drop other people off. He'll be tired when he gets backMaking the debt go down and savings go up

Just caught up with your diary SA. I'm so sorry to hear what happened to Mr SA. You must be all over the place.I agree with what @EssexHebridean wrote. It's disgraceful. Yes, there's a good chance he'll be taken all round the houses coming home.Hugs to you and I hope he's ok when he finally arrives. XFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

He’s just got back. An ambulance brought him. Now safely installed in his chair with the TV on. He has stitches above his eye and has seen a physio on the ward who has referred him to the falls team. As @beanielou says they can’t do a lot but at least he’s in the system again. The dog hasn’t taken her eyes off the front door all day so she’s happy he’s back.I am absolutely shattered!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

He defo needs to be in the system, as I think it's the only route to getting some help. The falls team needs to know it's quite a regular occurrence, not only the occasions which result in a hospital visit.
Hope you both have a much more peaceful evening tonight

Jeez. That is so unacceptable on so many levels. Pity in a way that he did not have to stay in then the hospital would have been forced to check that your house was suitable for him to return to & if not then things would have had to be put in place.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. EssexHebridean - That was my first thought also. If he's too wobbly for a taxi how can they be sure he'll be safe at home? And how will SA cope with a big man prone to falls. Hope everything works out, SA.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4

This is where I should’ve gone with him last night really but I couldn’t face standing in a corridor in A&E all night. When he gets the visit from the urgent care team/falls team I’ll make sure they realise how bad he is. I’m already dreading Sunday night.
Anyway he’s had a shower and something to eat and is back in his chair watching TV.I’m lucky I can do my job from home and that my line manager is happy for me to do this while things aren’t great. I’m part of a work carers group and have heard some horror stories about other line managers. Our local MP is about as useful as a chocolate fire guard as I’ve discovered from being involved with the local volunteer groups.Money saving wise it ended up being a NSD every cloud and all that…I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I’ve just caught up. What a nightmare for you all. At least it might escalate him nearer the front of the queue of the falls team. But as Beanie says ……what can they do - especially if he doesn’t take precautions to keep himself safe. It might get you some help though. Although from some of the stories I’ve heard there are so many cuts everywhere. I’m pleased you have an understanding boss 👍January spends - £587.583
