So sorry SA and I hope they manage to come up with a plan but as @beanielou says not so sure what they can do.
Does it seem like they happen more when he is tired or in the middle of the night if he gets up to use the bathroom ? Does he still manage stairs? You have so much on your plate and the wind was awful last night.
No wonder you are fed up. It must be like having a toddler again when you don't know what they are going to get up to next. Not his fault either though unless he was hitting the beer again last night.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. He's not been discharged yet. I've been working, my line manager told me to get some sleep but how can I when I'm listening out for a phone call. I sat on the sofa with the dog for a bit after I had my lunch and started to nod off until the postie hurled a magazine through the letterbox which hit the floor with such a thud my heart is still pounding now!
I had a vet appointment tomorrow for the young cat's annual booster but have moved it to next week. This has actually worked out for the best as a new bus route starts next Monday that takes you straight from where I live to the retail park where the vets is which is extremely handy and will save a fortune in taxis.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
That was an eventful Sunday evening!
Glad Mr SA is alright and I hope you manage to get some rest today.1 -
Is there someone else who could take a phone call for you? It's not as though you're needed to collect him, so they're not going to phone because of that.
I get the carrying on working aspect of things: it's often helpful to have something to do and helps ground you. Do watch out for things that could have repercussions, though. The number of meds errors I've seen over the years when someone had family health concerns in mind... of course most of the time there aren't errors, but a lot of them co-relate with someone feeling they were still coping, while a corner of their brain was coping with something personal.
Here's hoping the afternoon lets you slow down and cuddle the dog for a while.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I’m only doing admin tidying up bits today like writing up meeting notes @Cherryfudge nothing I have to concentrate too much on. DD is at work so I’m home alone. How many times have I longed for a day to myself at home but obviously under different circumstances.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

If you could find a way to get Mr SA a day out without you, be sure to slip your phone into his pocket before he goes.
Today sounds like a good day to get ahead with copying up the minutes, at least that will be done and dusted.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Yes @Cherryfudge the carer's association would do something to allow me to go out rather than take him out and I can do that anyway if I pick a day DD will be at home.
I've just had a call from the hospital to say he's been discharged and am I going to pick up him in the car 🙄 Said I don't have a car which was met by a shocked "oh". I asked them to send him home in a taxi and they agreed to do that and I was to pay in cash when he arrived. I realised the £15 in my purse may not be enough as the hospital is on the other side of the city from us so quickly grabbed my card to run down to the cashpoint to get some money out. Just going out of the door when the hospital rang back to say he's being brought home by hospital transport as he's too wobbly for a taxi. From past experience goodness knows what time he'll get back!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
I'm outraged that they simply expect to be able to put patients in taxis without checking that's affordable SA - that really is appalling isn't it! I'm also rather cross that they have acknowledged that he is too wobbly for a taxi but presumably not checked that your home situation is suitable to take a large wobbly person...it doesn't really sound like he ought to be being discharged, does it!
Sorry to hear you've had all the stress but truly hoping that this will at least give a push to the falls team referral for him.
