Why is it always a Sunday night!
Or a bank holiday. When I worked in social care, emergencies almost never happened when managers were working. Late evening was prime time 🙁.

Something to do with being tired I suppose.

Hope you can get some rest and Mr SA does too.

I can't sleep for the howling wind outside the window

So sorry Mr SA has had a bad fall. Its always at night isn't it and that somehow makes things worse. Hope the queue at A&E isn't too bad although I imagine he triages quite high up the list.

If you stay at home for now you can get more of a feel for what's happening and take what he needs or be ready for him at home. My mum once took herself to A and E at 3am after falling and getting a head injury with lots of bleeding. They had her scanned, mopped up and home within a couple of hours (and then she rang me). I hope its the same for you.
  • Sorry to hear about this SA , I hope you get some news soon . I’m awake because of the wind howling.

Not heard anything yet. I managed an hour or so sleep but it’s hard to rest when you’re expecting the phone to ring. I’m absolutely exhausted. The dog has been cuddled up to me all night bless her. Hopefully I’ll hear something later this morning, he’s got his phone with him.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Thinking of you both and the dog of course x
  • Try and get some more rest , I'm up for my morning in the office . Hope to hear good news later.

I am so sorry that you are in the position you are in with Mr SA. Anything like that impacts on you as much if not more than him. It might be worth you ring social services (whichever dpt you have spoken to) to explain what has happened to emphasize the urgency of his referral. I know this all takes energy which you are short of but it might pay off..
