That’s another working week done.
Ears done, not syringed but micro suction which is safer apparently. After initial examination my left ear was completely blocked with wax and my right ear 60%. The procedure felt strange but didn’t hurt @Makingabobor2. She didn’t get as much wax out as she thought as apparently I have very small ear canals so just a small amount of wax can block them. Well ain’t that just typical of me I can’t just be normal can I 🙄 🤣 At least this explains why my ears spit out earphones.Anyway the upshot is my ears no longer feel bunged up and things do sound clearer. She said it would likely be 24 hours before I notice the real benefit. I have also been advised to use olive oil once a fortnight plus something else she wrote down that cleans your ears as because of my small ear canals they will easily block again. So that was £55 hopefully well spent.Picked up the free coffee from Waitr0se on the way to work and I must say it was very nice 👍
The city centre was absolutely heaving, no doubt because of Black Friday, so went straight home after my ear appointment.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Forgot to say re cleaning the guttering, the window cleaner is going to do it next time he’s here. Will cost £10 per side of house so £30.So that’s ears and gutters cleaned 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
I’ve been up since 5am as the dog wanted to go out and the cats seized the opportunity to ask for an early breakfast. I’ve been reading my book in the peace and quiet. Also earned £1.80 for a very short PA survey, earnings on there just over £40 so far this month.I was shocked to find the patio doors were unlocked only to find out Mr SA let the dog out at 1am so they’d been unlocked since then!I need to nip out to Mr T this morning then after lunch we’re going to meet DS and the GKs at a Christmas market at the local bigger park. Mr SA is already looking forward to a cup of their very expensive but not that nice coffee that he inevitably knocks over after a couple of sips 😐 Last year I bought a tiny bay tree for £1 from there and it’s quite big now so will be on the lookout for similar bargains. They have some nice stalls, all local hand made stuff. The dog gets to go too so will dig out her Christmas coat.I still need to buy a new kettle and toaster so going to check for offers. They’re both still working but look very shabby.Today’s exercise will consist of lots of steps.Pizza night tonight and of course rose cava for Strictly.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
We replaced our kettle recently and looked into getting the matching toaster... then it turned out you can match all sorts of things to the same set. Total cost would be over £200!
We stuck with just the kettle.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Interesting you say your ear canals are small. I was told that once. Think I should maybe think about getting mine looked at. £55 is a good price. its £70 in our local clinic. I did try some olive oil drops but they just seemed to go everywhere except where they were needed. maybe I should try again. DH keeps saying I need a hearing aid...hope not. Although my friend who is 4 years older than me has just had to have them fitted. The joys of aging...lolMaking the debt go down and savings go up
