My glasses buing consists of asking which is cheapest, picking a similar pair to those I have had before and saying they will do.
I only need them for reading so not many people see them and I can never tell if there would be anything better.

That's Monday done.
I've been in the office most of the day, just did the last hour from home.
Not a NSD as I'm off to a friends of the park across the road meeting tonight and it's in the pub at the end of my road so will be partaking of a vino tinto. I could do without going to be honest but I always end up being glad I went.
Monday budget update has been done and cc paid off. This is the final week of the 4 week budget period which has flown by! I need to sort out where the Principality money is going but will leave that for tomorrow. As it stands some is going to the home improvements pot and some to the emergency fund.
Today's exercise has been talking to/from work. Tonight's dinner is something quick and easy, scampi, rosemary 'chips' and lots of veg.
I need to finalise tomorrow's Mr M grocery delivery before I go out tonight. Also do a bit of Spanish learning.

Back from the meeting now and up late for me 😆 Just winding down then will go to bed in a bit. The meeting was good and, as always, I’m glad I went. We seem to be finally getting somewhere with making improvements to the park with the backing of the local councillors who attend our meetings. I can’t believe how busy the little micro brewery pub at the end of my road was for a Monday night although it only takes a dozen people to make it look busy it’s that small 😆 They only charge £5.60 for a large glass of wine too which is a vast improvement on the £10 a glass at the city centre place a couple of weeks ago.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today and the Mr M shop has been delivered and put away.
I've closed the remaining Cov account as this was holding the home improvements pot and some of the emergency fund. I was only going to withdraw enough to cover the fencing/gates but it was such a faff to do I decided to close the account and be done with. It would've been closed at some point anyway as I can get a better interest rate elsewhere. Once this hits the current account tomorrow I'll send some to the EF and the rest to the home improvements pot.
Today's exercise plan is walking the dog later this morning, bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is veggie chilli with the veg that needs using up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
In more savings news I've decided to restart premium bonds. We used to have some years ago but cashed them in. I'm not lucky at all with winning things but I can live in hope. They won't be going in the draw until the January one though. I've started the ball rolling with £100 and will aim for up to £100 a month depending on how much I can spare.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
