And that’s another working week done ✔️
Please tell me to stop volunteering for things at work and locally 😐 Don’t even ask what I got roped into today at work (it involves specialist chairs and bears no relation whatsoever to my actual job role) then the two local community groups I’m involved with have asked for help. Why did I volunteer to help with the local Christmas lights switch on 🤔 Why am I so helpful at work I seem to have become a one person help desk “X said you’re the best person to ask” for all sorts of bizarre questions (honestly you would not believe). Oh the joys of being a PA you are expected to know everything! (Most of the time I do or know someone else who does 😆)
Anyway that aside, finished work just after lunch today, was in the office faffing about with chairs most of the day. Had a wander round MnS and bought a really nice T-shirt in the sale. Then noticed there was a market in the city centre with food stalls and stalls selling bags and other bits and bobs so had a look at that. Then on the way home popped into Lid! to pick up the free bakery item (seeded sour dough loaf) plus a few other bits.My What’s App keeps pinging with the local community things tonight and is driving me nuts 🙁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Happy Saturday 🥂
No visit from the GKs today as DS is working.Ordered the October wine from the BBC GF magazine on Thursday and it arrived today - that was quick! MnS need to take a leaf out of their book! On the subject of MnS the beauty box I ordered almost 3 weeks ago is finally ready for collection 🥳
Did a live ClubFit class this morning then went to the big Mr T to drop off the soft plastics recycling. Mr SA reluctantly stayed home to wait in for the wine delivery. He wanted to come to Mr T with me even though there was no need. When I suggested I wait at home and he took the recycling he suddenly changed his mind 🤔
I arrived back home at the same time the wine turned up so we took the dog on the park after that. The young cat has had another shock after a set to with a strange cat in our garden. She had a massive bushy tail 🤣 The dog saw the cat off but the young cat is now hiding in her cardboard house.Pizza, Prosecco and Strictly tonight 🙂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

One debt remaining. Home improvement loan.2 -
You'll just have to give up being good at your work, well informed, obliging and recognisable. Probably becoming unrecognisable would do for a day or so till they cottoned on... or you could move out of the area?
Enjoy the wine, and I hope the cat's okay.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning happy Sunday. Looks a bit damp out there this morning.I’ve been thinking about switching banks for some time now and am very tempted by the Nationwide offer. I’ve never switched banks before, have been with the H@lif@x ever since I was old enough to have a current account. Never had any issues with them but don’t get anything from them either for being a loyal customer. It’s payday on Friday so probably best to leave it until after that.Main task for today is giving the house a good clean/tidy. Need to take the dog for a run on the park at some point.Tonight’s dinner is the final portion of nut roast from the freezer with roast beetroot and swede plus loads of steamed veggies. Going to make a batch of red lentil soup for work lunches. Leftover pizza from last night for today’s lunch. And of course there is the usual leftover Prosecco, too busy singing and dancing along with the TV last night 😆
Now to rinse the hair mask off, make a coffee and join the live WW mindfulness session.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
You can start the switch and select a future date anyway so if you did want to go ahead, it wouldn't be before Friday.
Have a lovely Sunday xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x3 -
Poor cat! They do look funny though with their bushy tails .... mine had an altercation too yesterday and I think it fired him up as he brought in a mouse later. He's quite compliant when asked to exit pronto with mouse via the front door. Trouble is he goes straight round the back and through his cat flap so we locked the cat flap and horror of horrors forgot to unlock it before we went to bed. Poor cat ate a huge breakfast and has been asleep since.
