Just had an email from 🐙 to say they’re reducing their prices from 1 October so are lowering our monthly payment. Not by a huge amount at £28 a month less, but a reduction is still very welcome. We are over £500 in credit at the moment which is the most we’ve ever been in.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

That's Monday done. Another day at work to pay for my holidays 🤣
Worked in the office today and fortunately managed to dodge the heavy showers. Beautiful blue skies again at the moment, it's definitely been a mixed bag weather wise today.
New 4 week budget period starts today and ended up with a £126.74 underspend over the last 4 weeks but then we were on holiday for one of the weeks which helped. The £6.74 oddment has gone in the Christmas pot and the rest has been divvied up between the personal spends/house/entertainment pots.
Received £22.75 interest from the Cov and nearly had a shock as I thought it was the interest for the regular saver and I was expecting a lot more than that. Then I realised the regular saver doesn't mature until tomorrow and the whole lot including interest will go into an easy access account. So this must be for my other easy access account with not a lot in it. Phew!
The cc balance has been cleared and pending transactions checked. Odd that the transactions for Mr T and Gr3ggs aren't showing for Friday when other transactions on that day and Saturday are. I've allowed £20 to cover them but I don't think it was that much. I don't have receipts.
Exercise was walking to/from work and I'm about to do a 10 minutes Pilates session. Tonight's dinner is a new recipe miso glazed salmon with braised leeks, leaving out the butter though as I don't like it (or have any for that matter), I'll probably stir fry the leeks instead.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Such a good idea to book now and have something to look forward to.
Nice recipe too, thank youIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today so a nice relaxed start to the day with a coffee and my book. I love my WFH days. I used to loathe Tuesdays with a passion as they felt like the point of no return in the working week but now I love them.
Today's exercise is taking the dog on the park later this morning, a live lunchtime bums & tums and a live resistance bands class tonight. I'll also squeeze in the 10 minutes Pilates session at some point.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of the tuna pasta bake I made on Sunday with salad.
Cleaning task is the bathroom. It looks like it's going to rain all day so my washing won't dry outside, time to dig out the heated airer I think.
It will be another NSD today number 5 of the month I think. The Cov Regular Saver matures at midnight so will be looking for a new one tomorrow. The YBS Christmas Saver matures at the end of October and the Princip@lity Regular Saver matures at the beginning of November.
Now next year's holidays are booked I can knuckle down and save for them. I'm very much a planner but as you all know life likes to throw me off course with giant curveballs on a regular basis!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
I agree its nice to have holidays booked in advance to be able to save...and also to have something to look forward to. Fingers crossed nothing knocks you off course.Making the debt go down and savings go up
