These boxes are completely free no subscription, you just have to commit to filling in a questionnaire afterwards.I briefly succumbed to a gin box subscription during the Pandemic and although the gin was top notch, I wasn’t keen on the extras in the box such as snacks and drink mixers. I cancelled after 3 boxes as I felt it wasn’t worth the £40 a month to me. It’s a great idea though and it was quite exciting when it arrived wondering what was in there.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Hope Mr SA gets his scooter sorted soon….for everyone’s sanity.
The visit from the gks will have taken his mind off no scooter hopefully.
The goody box looks interesting 👍January spends - £587.582 -
Just watching Jamie Oliver and his new Mediterranean programme. He’s in Greece tonight in Thessaloniki. We’ve been in the airport there three times when we visited Halkidiki. It’s a long way from the airport but a lovely place. There are three “fingers” to Halkidiki one is very Greek, one is more developed, the third for monks only. We’ve been to two of the “fingers”.
Anyway they were showing the rice stuffed vegetables that I absolutely love and here are mine I had in Zante they were absolutely delicious 😋I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Following on from the Halkidiki trips, the first time we visited the very Greek “finger”. All the menus in the restaurants were in Greek. Most visitors were Greek. If you heard someone speaking English you did a double take. Unfortunately my mum passed away the day after we got back 🙁
Two years later we returned to the more developed “finger” and can you believe it MIL passed away while we were there 🙁
We were very apprehensive about our third visit as you can imagine but we wanted to lift the Halkidiki curse. Anyway we had a fabulous time and nothing happened. The only reason we haven’t returned is the arduous 2 hours transfer from Thessaloniki airport and I can’t imagine Mr SA would be able to get a mobility scooter there.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

Oh, that's so sad. Well done for getting yourselves back there.
The stuffed vegetables look interesting. I've worked out that one is a tomato, but what's the dark green one? And I must look up the new Jamie programme, I somehow missed that.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That's the first day back at work done. 250 emails to wade through! Still not cleared them all, can wait until tomorrow now, everything urgent has been sorted.
I was not a happy bunny pounding the pavements with my laptop on my back this morning. Had to treat myself to a coffee to help ease the gloom. The day improved vastly when I found out I'm a finalist in some work awards for my voluntary role and I also have an invite to a retirement lunch, so that cheered me up quite a bit 😁
Monday finance check done, now in the final week of the 4 week budget period. Had to pop into Lid! on the way home from work for a top up shop to last until the Mr M delivery on Thursday. I'll see how the moved delivery day works out, we always used to do the big shop on a Thursday pre online delivery days.
Mr SA phoned the scooter shop but the part hasn't arrived yet and they have no courtesy scooter free. He's really fed up with them.
I had a weird dream last night that we had a leak in the ceiling and in my dream the boiler was in the loft and it came crashing through the ceiling (it's actually in a cupboard in the kitchen). When I got to work there was a bucket catching water from a leak from the floor above so that broke my dream. I'm not joking the office is falling apart already and the building is less than two years old, there's always something out of order or being repaired!
Exercise today has been walking to/from work and I'm going to do a yoga session shortly.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of tofu from the freezer with stir fried veg and noodles. I'm determined to empty the small freezer that I keep in the covered area outside as it could do with defrosting (not a frost free one like my indoor one) so there will be plenty of freezer things being used up over the next couple of weeks or so.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
