Well I’m turning into a social butterfly 🤣 I’ve heard from someone I used to work with who took early retirement over a year ago and we didn’t exchange phone numbers. I always regretted that. She doesn’t do social media. Anyway she’s been in contact via someone else who gave me her number and the upshot is we’re meeting up for a drink next month. I miss working with her so it will be lovely to catch up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Meeting up with your former colleague sounds great: if you've missed her it's a good indication you will keep in touch now.
I hope Mr SA's scooter arrives soon.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy Thursday.
WFH today.
Mr M shop has just been delivered no subs or missing items although I did notice my grapes say Ocad0 on them. I know they used to fulfil Mr M orders from their warehouse then stopped doing it. I suspect they are back to fulfilling the orders as the carrier bags are the same grey unbranded ones and the app is exactly the same. The drivers all have West Midlands accents and often moan about the motorway traffic which seems crazy as the nearest Mr M superstore is just over 3 miles away. They must be coming from the Ocad0 warehouse again.
In money saving, I had £6.50 of vouchers plus the 15% staff discount so that's shaved a fair bit off the total shop.
In scooter saga news, I'm going to phone the shop today as I need to know whether I have to reschedule the dog's vet check up tomorrow if it's not going to be back by then. I will not mince my words, they will know I'm not happy! Apparently the repair is just a replacement nut and bolt for the steering part of it so why is it taking this long! I think it's time for a change of dealership once the current lease runs out as it's not the first time he's had trouble with them.
Today's exercise is taking the dog on the park, interval training at lunchtime and Zumba tonight.
I've taken out a portion of vegan moussaka from the freezer for tonight's dinner, will have that with salad.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Didn't the scooter go in for repair before you went away? Suppose Mr SA didn't have you to support him, how would he have coped? I hope the scooter shop can hear the buzz of disgruntled MSEers in the background of your call, all saying what poor service they give.
In better news, that's a really decent discount on your shopping.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Its amazing how you can get results when you escalate things on social media. But the thing is, you shouldn't have to. All companies should make excellent customer service their top priority. Unfortunately, a lot don't. I remember back in the day of being an NVQ assessor in the customer service field, and a quote that was used a lot....."A customer is not an interruption to your day, they are the reason for it". Its a pity that is not imprinted on the brains of all who work in that field.Making the debt go down and savings go up
