Welcome home! It was a terrific storm by the looks of it, and the turbulence doesn't sound much fun. Photos from the plane really do capture that going abroad feeling, don't they? Going over the Alps is lovely. And don't the French like their parquet flooring?!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy Thursday 😎
It was so good to sleep in my own bed last night. The hotel bed was fine but you can’t beat your own bed.I don’t know where to start today I have so much to do. I think the best thing is to tackle the washing first and empty the cases. Most things can go straight back in the case for Lanzarote.Definitely need to sort finances as not touched them since payday. I kept a tally of anything that went on the card like duty free and drinks on the plane so there aren’t any surprises. Only used the card at the hotel to pay for the air con. Made a note to take extra money for none food/drink related items next time as this left us a bit tight for cash at the end. We only came back with €10. I usually save around €100 for fritter money and I forgot this time. Although we tend to come back with €100 so probably why I didn’t bother.Mr M delivery coming later the only missing thing is my wine 😱 How dare they 😆 Luckily I’ve got some left from the last delivery so I’m sure I’ll survive. I bought 2 litres of pink gin from UK duty free only £12 a bottle so I’ll have to drink gin if I get desperate 🤣 It travelled all the way to Zante and back.At the hotel the lady behind the bar used to hold up a bottle of pink gin every time she saw me and say “the usual” 😆I hit my 1100 day streak on Duolingo so now have 3 days free super Duolingo.I fully intend to get back into my exercise routine today so plan to do my usual lunchtime
Stretch & Tone and Zumba tonight.Mr SA has been let down by the scooter shop and it looks like they won’t be bringing the spare part back today as promised over a week ago. He’s not happy about it and has complained. I hope they’re not going to leave him without a scooter all weekend.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Welcome back to Blighty @Sun_Addict! You've kept track of the finances brilliantly but that's no surprise. How long till you're off again? Love Humdinger xx1
