It's so difficult when a couple doesn't see eye to eye on finances, but I expect that's a common occurrence. It certainly applies to us: I'm interested in them but don't have the right sort of brain (if I could watch their body language, it would be a doddle). DH really doesn't like them and defaults to generosity but I'd rather that than he didn't like them and held on to every last sou - even if it means I have to be aware and think ahead a bit.
I don't do scary films. I can lie awake without them, goodness knows what state I'd be in if I was imagining things lurking in the shadows! Hope you sleep well despite that!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
I’ve got a busy day today, ClubFit at 8.45, take the dog on the park, go to the big Mr T then DS and the GKs are coming this afternoon.Still no sign of Mr SA’s scooter repair, he’s going stir crazy which in turn is driving me round the bend. I really hope it’s back before Friday as the dog has her annual vaccination at the vets.Curry night tonight which reminds me I need to dig out a portion from the depths of the freezer. Tonight’s fizz is already in the fridge.Just been looking at a friend’s holiday photos of the amazing places she’s just been and it’s made me feel a bit fed up that there are so many things I can’t do/places I’ll never get to see because of Mr SA. We have to stick to places that are easy to get around. I know I shouldn’t complain as we still get away and enjoy our holidays. Moral of the tale is if there’s anywhere you’re dreaming of going to go, as one day you might not be able to.Mr SA has just got up - it’s going to be a long day 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

Morning all.Looks like the hot sunny weather is going to break today 🙁 It’s been lovely to come back from holiday to and for someone like me who is always cold it’s made a change to be warm for once.It should finally be a NSD today. No plans to go anywhere and we don’t need anything. The last Mr M delivery was on Thursday so I’m trying to stick to a Thursday rather than the usual Tuesday. Next week is the last week of the four week budget period, it’s flown by.Today I need to give the house a good clean and steam mop the floors. Also need to pack the cases away now all the washing is done.Back to meal planning too and aiming to use up freezer/cupboard stocks this coming week. I intend to hang on to that good surplus in the budget pots. The garden could do with a tidy but the garden waste bin is full and there’s also a pile ready to fill it again once emptied on Tuesday. Picked loads of tomatoes and a pepper yesterday. Not a massive surplus of tomatoes as we only have a couple of plants but enough not to have to buy any and they taste so much better home grown.Back to work tomorrow - boo 😭 😭I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

That's an interesting selection to try. What's the small bottle - does it say Shanky's Whip?1

Getting a box must be like Christmas! I signed up and accepted a trial on one of those schemes where you get sent the spices and a recipe to make a meal. Nice, but not for me. Then I was sent an offer for a product I already subscribe to, and after that, something I wouldn't use. Never a box of mixed things in sight!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living.
