That’s the working week done, last full week for a while 🥳
Worked in the office today, it was very quiet. Finished just after lunchtime as I always do on Fridays.I’ve finally bought some sandals for holiday from Next. Been looking all over and couldn’t find any I liked.Stopped off at L!dl on the way home. We’re going to DS’s house on the train tomorrow. Mr SA isn’t keen but we haven’t been for some time and it will be a change of scenery. I know why he isn’t keen, he’s worrying about what time he’ll get his lunch 😐
Exercise today has been walking to/from work. I managed to miss the rain this morning and it was sunny on the way home.Tonight’s dinner is a stir fry.Looking forward to putting my feet up with a large glass of red wine later 🍷I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
LOl, @Sun_Addict - Mr SA sounds exactly like Soot for his meals. I always think that when you mention that he's thinking about his lunch early. That is Soot's life!

I wasn’t doing too well with surveys this month then all of a sudden things picked up and I now have enough in the pot to pay for my holiday nails plus almost there with the eyebrows cost.In other news I also bought 3 lipsticks from Next as they were on 3 for 2 and my favourite lipstick shades (other brands) ran out and appear to have been discontinued 🙁 Really pleased with them so far, one of them is called Pink Prosecco 😎 I have a light olive skin tone so have to go for warm colours or I look awful and these are perfect for me. The price of the three (£16) was less than the price of one of my usual brand. I was also looking at their perfume, although don’t need any yet. They smell very nice indeed and one was very similar to my favourite Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. Apparently they are all dupes of more expensive ones. Worth a look folks 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Something made me go in the Jet2 app and look at the apartments in Lanzarote we loved in April. They only had one ground floor room left for when we want to go and it’s a good price so have booked it for next April. I was going to wait until we got back from Zante but that room could have gone by then. Now I just need to let special assistance know and I’ll get a refund on the pre booked seats - £50.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Cullen skink is dead easy to make and quick. I use the hairy bikers recipe (almost) which is available on line though if want I can put it on here. The only disadvantage to it is the house stinks when I am cooking it so we call it stinky soup. I have also made it using basa which is much cheaper although not quite as tasty.

Happy Saturday 🥂
I don’t know whether the holiday is booked or not. I haven’t had confirmation and it’s not showing in the app. The deposit is pending on the cc so will keep an eye on that. Maybe someone else got that last ground floor room and it’s not gone through. Oh well I can try another date as we’re not tied to set dates. We’re off to DS’s at lunchtime. It will be an expensive trip with train and taxi fares but it’s the only way we can do it. I’m going to give Mr SA his lunch early so he’s not going on about how hungry he is. He will no doubt insist on a coffee from the station’s Cost@. What he forgets is it’s me who has to carry it and help him get to/on the train 😐 He makes what should be an easy trip difficult but we can’t not go anywhere just because he can’t walk far. He’s going to take his stick and DS will pick us up from the station his end. I’m looking forward to seeing the GKs in their own house. Plus they have a rag doll cat I haven’t seen yet.I’m doing a ClubFit session in an hour then I need to pick up a paper and take the dog out. Also need to buy the train tickets and book a taxi.Tonight’s dinner is butternut squash dhal. I roasted the squash last night so it won’t take long to make. Mr SA is having a Mr M lamb rogan josh.Rose cava is in the fridge 😎I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Enjoy your day out. I hope the train journey goes smoothly.
