Pleased you had a lovely time when you had your day out. The Italian shop sounds interesting.
We used to have a brilliant market but it really went downhill. It has had a revamp over the last few years and the old ‘hen market’ which sold fresh produce has been moved into the bigger market hall and artisan food hot food stalls which have communal seating has taken its place. It’s quite nice in there. The bigger market hall haas also had a revamp but has gone very arty. There aren’t that many older stalls there but several have been stalls passed down through the family.

Caught up with your diary SA!  Glad to hear you've got some nice up and coming independent shops coming along in your area.  I'm very lucky that my little high street is made up of quite a few of these although there seems to be more eateries opening - all very nice though. However the shops in our large seaside town down the road seems to be suffering along with the rest of the country in that so many have closed the last couple of years.
Won't be long now till Zante - lovely little island. 🥰
