I’m in the East Midlands. I do know the town beginning with R though and it’s not that far from me. The Italian clothes shop seem to be springing up everywhere.Makingabobor2 said:
Mmmm.... trying to work out where you are. I'm sure you are in a similar area of the country to me. Also when you mentioned the boutique with the Italian style dresses that are one size fits all, it reminded me of a friend who uses a shop like this....in a town beginning with R?Sun_Addict said:
There are quite a few small market towns where I live plus two very vibrant suburbs within walking distance with some fantastic shops/bars/coffee bars which are definitely on my places to visit next hit list. I live in the middle of two high streets that are up and coming with independent shops, one a fair bit better than the other. The city centre itself is going downhill but the high streets seem to be on the up.Makingabobor2 said:Your day out sounds great. Wish we had nice places like that, even if it wasn't walking distance. The nearest place I can think of with nice independent shops is miles away. Although I am thinking that maybe one day in the future I will treat myself to a day out somewhere, when I've saved a few ££. I desperately need some new clothes.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
SA if the shop sells Made in Italy make , it's one of my favourite. I would imagine the clothes would be to big for you even being one size. I also have new M@S towels with the 20% off , much needed here as well.Where did you get the cat house from that was in your lovely cat photo ? I need a present for a cat loving friend.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.3

I do wish we had a market. Several years ago someone tried to start one but a couple of the posher shops who have the ear of the council complained it was tacky prevented people coming to the town. They didnt seem to understand a market onve a week would actually enhance the town. One of them has closed down now and I have a feeling the other is struggling. Meanwhile the town is empty of proper shops and people.

Morning all.Have already been up an hour mainly because of the cats hassling me for food. I’ve enjoyed some quiet time reading my book and listening to chill out music on the radio.I’m going to colour my hair shortly then planning a fairly relaxing day. The dog will need a park run later.I’m not doing very well with surveys so far this month so going to try and do a few, although I keep getting screened out. Also need to spend some time on my Spanish learning. I don’t seem to have had much spare time at all this week. Also need to do the cleaning I didn’t get around to yesterday. Plus do a meal plan for next week. I was going to have a portion of nut roast from the freezer for tonight’s dinner but not 100% sure I fancy it. I need to make a batch of soup for work lunches. It should be a NSD anyway.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Yes, we are in East Mids, but I suspect you are further north than us. Think you're in the nice area...lolSun_Addict said:

Morning all, happy Monday. Last full working week for me until w/c 10 September 😊
I didn't wake up until 5.30 this morning, it was still quite dark so it threw me out. Took one look at the weather and decided to WFH. No point getting soaked when I can do my job from home just as efficiently and stay dry.
It should be another NSD (no 5 I think). I've got a Mr M delivery coming tomorrow so I'm sure we can manage another day with what we've got.
Today's jobs (apart from working):- Look at finances (final week of 4 week budget period)
- Check in online and print off boarding passes
- Declutter one cupboard in the kitchen
- Clean kitchen
- Finalise Mr M order
- Spanish learning
- A couple of surveys
Tonight's dinner is scampi, potato wedges and veg.
I was supposed to be picking up the new towels from MnS today but they can wait until Wednesday when I'm next scheduled to be in the office, I have until Saturday to collect them.
