Thank you all I had a lovely day. Ended up walking there as the bus wasn’t due for 28 minutes. It wasn’t as far as I thought about an hour’s walk. I got the bus back though. It’s a great place with loads of independent shops and coffee bars plus they still have 3 banks which is a rarity these days. Noticed signs up saying cash is king, a few local places have started saying this recently. Had a lovely coffee sitting outside in the sun just managed to scrape together enough cash 😆
Mr SA did alright again as bought him two T-shirts and a pair of swimming shorts. I bought myself a lovely dress for holiday from a market stall, the young bloke running it was really friendly and the dress was £5 cheaper than the nearby boutique - exactly the same dress.I will definitely be visiting this high street more often especially now I know it’s walkable. They also have a massive Asd@ and S@insburys. It was a change to see somewhere so busy and thriving.Got home at lunchtime, Mr SA was in bed asleep. The weather has been lovely again so sat in my hanging chair reading my book for a while.Felt sorry for a young lad who broke down outside our house. He knocked on the door to apologise for blocking off our drive. He’d only bought the car yesterday and had only recently passed his test. The car has gone now.I’ve done over 25,000 steps again so that’s over 50,000 in two days. Hoping for a bit of a rest this weekend.Looking forward to putting my feet up tonight as I’m shattered. I slept like a log last night so I expect tonight will be the same.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
