I'm always amazed at how the last 2g (apparently) in any tube will take as long to use up as the first 98g. It definitely saves money to open the tube.
You could perhaps tell him the data is coming out of his beer money?
Look after your head though - resist the temptation to bang it on walls! Perhaps you could invest in a punch bag?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Not as relaxing a day as I’d originally hoped but I got quite a few things done.
The Moroccan style veg cottage pie was lovely but, as the butternut squash was fairly small, once it was mashed up it didn’t make much. So I only had enough to cover one pie not the two I’d hoped. I’ve frozen the filling for future use though and it would make a nice jacket potato topping. Probably why I only made it the once. I seemed to be cooking for ages with the pie and then the soup and there was loads of washing up 😐🤣🤣 at the punchbag suggestions - it would get some hammering that’s for sure.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Mr SA has been proactive!!!!
Don't faint but Mr SA has actually done something useful today! For over 10 years we've had an old split wheelie bin full of lead in the garden. Mr SA used to be a roofer and it was full of his odds and ends of leftover rolls. I've been nagging him for ages to weigh it in at the scrap merchants but obviously without transport this was difficult. DS kept promising to take him but nothing happened. Anyway he saw a scrap van locally and asked him if he bought lead. So he's sold it for £130. Obviously it will be worth a lot more than this but it would probably have spent another 10 years languishing in the garden. Plus we've got rid of the split wheelie bin as he took that too. I've told Mr SA he can buy himself some T-shirts and canvas shoes for holiday out of it. The downside is he's carrying on as if it's £130k not £130 and the money is burning a hole in his pocket.
In other money news today has been NSD 2 of July - two in a row go me!
Aside from all that excitement, I've been in the office this morning and have come home to finish up. I've booked two days leave off work a week on Friday and the following Monday so I can have a nice long weekend.
Exercise has been walking to/from work and I'm going to do an abs session later.
Tonight's dinner is a stir fry as I need to use up some veg. This week's meal plan might have to be rejigged to accommodate what needs using up.
Cleaning task is the kitchen.
