I have alchemilla too - yes, it gets everywhere! If I had the focus to build a business, I'd sell it to Harry Potter fans as it's an ingredient of the Philosopher's Stone. :D I can't believe they sell it either! It's exquisite with raindrops on the leaves, though.

I can't believe people buy grape hyacinths, either. I love the colour but mine have got so dense, despite being reduced a few years ago, that they don't really flower any more.

Lily of the Valley, now... I have one from my parents' garden which I don't know how best to care for and am relieved each year when it comes back.

I've been scattering poppy seeds round my garden for three years with no joy. Last week I found one growing out of the wall on the side of the drive...:::sigh:::
However, i did buy those enormous oriental poppy seeds and sowed some about ten days ago. I saw the modules yesterday and they have germnated!! First time ever!! So maybe try sowing some now? Or a heated propogator next year earlier...

Was it nice having a cost@ coffee SA?  I always baulk at the cost of it but when I do have one the lil devil on my shoulder says ‘so this is the good high octane stuff….’ 🤣😉
