I have alchemilla too - yes, it gets everywhere! If I had the focus to build a business, I'd sell it to Harry Potter fans as it's an ingredient of the Philosopher's Stone.
I can't believe they sell it either! It's exquisite with raindrops on the leaves, though.
I can't believe people buy grape hyacinths, either. I love the colour but mine have got so dense, despite being reduced a few years ago, that they don't really flower any more.
Lily of the Valley, now... I have one from my parents' garden which I don't know how best to care for and am relieved each year when it comes back.

Alchemilla mollis is a lovely perennial plant for borders because its lime green froth of flowers really set off other colours, like pinks & mauves.....BUT it self-seeds prolifically. The only way to offset this is swiftly to cut the flower.heads off as soon as they start going over to the slightly browny/tatty stage, as that is a sure sign that seeds are on their way. I still find some seedlings which need weeding out in Spring. I like the plant though.....interesting shaped leaves which attract pretty water drops after a shower.

I've been scattering poppy seeds round my garden for three years with no joy. Last week I found one growing out of the wall on the side of the drive...:::sigh:::However, i did buy those enormous oriental poppy seeds and sowed some about ten days ago. I saw the modules yesterday and they have germnated!! First time ever!! So maybe try sowing some now? Or a heated propogator next year earlier...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi4

I'm not sure, but there's quite a lot on line about getting them to grow, so it seems to be a common problem.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Our poppies love being sown on top of new compost with a light dusting of compost over the top. Must admit tho that this year none of the ones that normally self sow have come up again.Lancashire

That's Monday done, 1 day down 3 to go (off Friday).
Worked in the office until lunchtime then came home to finish up. I didn't wake up until 6am - I usually leave the house no later than 6.30. Not that it really matters what time I get to work as we're on flexi time. Forgot to take my coffee bags with me so ended up having to buy a coffee from the on site Cost@. I'm not back in the office until Thursday now but have already put the box of coffee bags in my bag.
Finances have been checked and so annoyed to notice that on my receipt from Wilko on Saturday I've been charged twice for the same thing! I was at the self checkout so goodness knows how I managed to do this! I usually check my receipt when I come out of shops but for some reason I didn't so that's £4.50 lost.
In positive financial news, I've finally been able to cash out £25 from Opinium 😁 So that's a flying start to June's survey earnings.
Mr SA has got man flu, he was in bed when I got back from work. He's now wandering around moaning and groaning. Hopefully it's nothing catching as I'm going to my friend's house for the afternoon on Friday.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work, almost on 20,000 steps plus will do a stretching session later. Tonight's dinner is the other half of the mushroom stroganoff I made yesterday.
Had to go in L*dl on the way home from work for a few things, had a voucher for a free brownie so picked that up for Mr SA. Now got a voucher for a free baguette.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Hope Mr SA get better soon.
Rubbish leaving your coffee at home and having to buy one. Hope you savoured it 👍January spends - £587.584 -
Was it nice having a cost@ coffee SA? I always baulk at the cost of it but when I do have one the lil devil on my shoulder says ‘so this is the good high octane stuff….’ 🤣😉Lancashire
