(((hugs))) SA.  Unfortunately it doesn't get any easier does it?
They say music stays in the memory better.  Have you tried the radio on a station that plays his favorite era?
    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy

Just a quick note to say 'thanks' as something you mentioned the other day has now led to me signing up for one of those 'most of the meal via your letterbox' deals for a whole £1 for four meals for two people. :) (It will be more once I've bought the fresh food part of the meals but it's still a bargain).

Of course there is always the chance that I'll forget to cancel and it will cost a lot more in the longer term, but I will have fun in the meantime, experimenting.

Did you go out in the end?

Did Mr SA have any hobbies before his illness/brain injury, @Sun_Addict? I was just  wondering if any particular interest or hobby could be adapted to suit his current ability/concentration level. Is there a little project you could set him on in the garden, for instance? Would he make a nest box or bee box, for instance, or be in charge of growing some specific veg? I'm just trying to think of occasions when he could perhaps get on with his own stuff, so he's not as bored & you have more quiet time.
I have never lived with a brain-injured person though, so I don't really feel at all equipped to make any suggestions.

No he just worked, occasionally he dabbled with fishing but can’t do this now without a car. The part of his brain that’s damaged controls motivation so he doesn’t think to do things normal people would.

    Morning happy Saturday ☀️

Thankfully summer made a reappearance yesterday and the weather looks lovely today. DS and the GKs are coming this afternoon so we’ll be able to sit in the garden. The dog will be happy because the GKs throw her ball and run about with her.

Talking of the dog she loved the dog food sample from the Try It box. Looked up the brand and it’s one of these subscription ones and expensive. I’ve already tried two of the dog food subscriptions brands and after initially loving the food she went off both after a few days. One of them you had to store in the freezer which wasn’t very convenient.

This morning’s plan is ClubFit shortly then I’m going to Wilko to see if I can find the storage baskets I want. I’m annoyed with myself because I bought some perfect ones a few weeks ago and just need a few more and I can’t remember where I got them from. I don’t go to that many shops so it shouldn’t be hard to narrow it down. They weren’t expensive so it’s got to be B&M, Wilko or the pound shop. B&M was ruled out yesterday.

Tonight’s dinner is pizza, salad and Prosecco. Woo hoo 🥂
Do you photo your receipts ? Could you look on them ?
No I don’t usually do this.
