Afternoon all.

Mr SA had his blood tests at the doctors this morning. They inconveniently changed the venue to a further away branch at the last minute, although he was given the option to rebook. He decided to get it over and done with and go to the further away branch.

Mr M delivery arrived shortly after Mr SA left the house so that was all packed away.

Then it was time to take the dog to the vets for a prescription check up. Left the house at 10.45 and didn't get back home until 2.30!! It's an hour's walk each way, the vet was running late, Mr SA wanted his lunch at Gr£ggs while I whizzed round BnM and we also went in BnQ.

I hadn't had any lunch so was really hungry by the time we got home. I thought Mr SA was joking when he said he wanted 2 cheese and ham rolls and a bag of crisps as he'd just had a big baguette and a sausage roll at Gr£ggs. He wasn't joking he said he said he was starving - seriously!!

Ordered the dog's meds and phoned the vet's back with the order number so they can match up the prescription. So that's the dog sorted for the next 3 months meds wise. Just over £82 to come from the vet pot for meds and prescription. The vet was pleased with the dog, she's lost a bit more weight and is in good condition for a 14 year old.

Mid-week finance check done and an oddment of £1.85 was sent to the Christmas pot.

Today's exercise has been yoga first thing, walking to/from the vets 20,182 steps and live Zumba tonight.

Tonight's dinner is salmon with sweet potato and steamed veg.

Morning all.

WFH today and nowhere to go other than taking the dog on the park across the road later. Bliss!

My bluetooth headphones have decided to give up 😞They've recently been losing their charge quite quickly after previously keeping a good charge for around a week. When I try to charge them they get very hot to the touch and this morning for some reason the USB no longer fits into the charging slot. To be fair I've had them a few years and use them several times a day. I can only use over the head ones as my ears are too small for ear buds they just spit them back out which is really annoying when I'm walking to work and having to keep putting them back in my ear every few seconds. So the quest for a suitable replacement is on.

Today's exercise plan is yoga/stretching, dog walking, live strength training at lunchtime and live Zumba tonight.

Tonight's dinner is chilli chickpea pasta. I don't think I've tried this recipe before.

Housework tasks will be washing/ironing, quick clean of the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.

It won't be a NSD as I'll be purchasing some new headphones. If I'd known I could've picked some up yesterday while we were at the retail park.

Kudos to you for cooking recipes in this weather SA. All I have planned for this evening at the moment is "salad" of some description!

Headphones purchased, same as the old ones just a different colour. I ordered them from Am@zon so got the bit of shopper panel survey money knocked off the price.

Also put some money in a collection for a friend who's retiring this month.

So not a NSD for my personal spends pot.

Mr SA has been driving me nuts today. It's like he can't settle. He was swapping about his man bags this morning then he was sat in the garden with a hosepipe just randomly shooting water everywhere. I had to bang on my office window to him and ask him not to waste water! After lunch he went out on his scooter without the dog and has been trawling the charity shops again looking for a man bag - as if he hasn't already got enough. Told him if he's bored I've got plenty for him to do so set him a task to remove some broken solar lights from a tree and put some new ones on. He's not even having his afternoon nap at the moment which is making him tetchy. No doubt next he'll be having his shower, looking for his dinner and declaring it beer time.

Happy Friday 🥳 Another week has flown by.

Free 🐙 coffee picked up on the way to work.

Worked in the office and finished just after lunch with no plans to log on later. I got everything I wanted to do done so time to call it a day.

Picked up the free W@itrose paper and the free Mr T magazine then stopped off at Lid! on the way home. Took advantage of the 25% off veggie burgers and got a couple of packs to put in the freezer.

It was so hot in the city centre felt like 40 plus degrees.

Sat outside on the bench by the pond reading when I got home. The fish started hanging around for food so fed them and it was quite entertaining watching them jump up for it 🙂 They’ve grown so much since we bought them last year. I think there are approximately 12 of them, they move so fast it’s hard to count them.

Sorted out the solar lights on the tree that Mr SA made a right dog’s dinner of yesterday 😐

Exercise was walking to/from work 21,353 steps.

Tonight’s dinner was lightly dusted yellowfin sole with steamed vegetables.

Right off to bed as I’ve got an early start tomorrow with the park event.

Happy Saturday 🥂

So shattered tonight. Went to the park and litter picked at 8am then from 9 onwards it was non stop setting up the event and helping run it. It was a shame we didn’t get as many visitors as last year but we were competing with a much bigger riverside event taking place at the same time. Those that attended said they enjoyed it though. There was a brass band playing and their final tune was It’s Coming Home 🤣

There was a mobile bar and the prices were very reasonable so that was popular. I had a double pink G&T for £6. Noticed wine was £5 for 285ml and Camden lager £6 a pint. Can’t moan at that.

Mr SA spotted a bum bag on the tombola so was haunting the stall. He bought some tickets but didn’t win. In the end he offered a donation of £5 for it so he eventually got it.

Eventually got home just after 4pm, grabbed a cold drink and my book, sat in my hanging chair and promptly nodded off 🤣

Tonight’s dinner was pizza, wedges and salad. Opened the rose Prosecco but doubt I’ll drink much as I’m shattered 🥱

Mr SA had an accident on the patio so was hosepiping it down when I got downstairs from getting changed 😞 He claimed he couldn’t get in the bathroom. I was in there 5 minutes tops and definitely didn’t hear him come up 😐

I need to go back to the park tomorrow and do another litter pick. To be fair there wasn’t any when I left as I kept going round and picking up any bits.

Thank goodness that’s done for another year.
