If you have any freezer space, pop a loaf in there for "emergencies". It's easy to pry a couple of slices out of the frozen loaf.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3 -
I can't believe retirement is less than a year. It has gone so quickly.
September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x2 -
I had a mind-boggling experience thinking of Mr SA, the dog, the cat in a basket and all the shopping on his scooter……!
Notice I’m not asking if you were running behind……
Your energy is amazing.3 -
I'd love to have that much space in my freezer 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪3 -
Morning all, happy Friday eve. This week has flown by!
WFH again today.
We had a bit of a mini storm first thing, the wind was blowing rain sideways and the drive gates slammed and pushed the garden waste bin from the drive onto the pavement. The lid blew off and bits of cuttings started flying out! So the first job today was to sort that out. However I wasn't prepared to chase bits of garden waste down the road in my nightie, dressing gown and slippers 🤣 The rain didn't amount to much and it's sunny now but still quite windy.
Have done a quick finance check and paid off the cc balance including the holiday. I transferred the holiday savings into the current account and the rest has been borrowed from the home improvements pot to be returned when the 6 months saver matures next month. There's still a fair bit in there if the gardener ever appears to give a quote, he was supposed to be coming a couple of weekends ago but hasn't been. I guess this time of year he's very busy and I'm not in a particular rush. Might give him a nudge though.
Cashed out PA yesterday, not a great amount, £19.53. Also cashed out a small amount from TCB £3.80 and I earned £1.40 from Am@zon shopper panel. I don't get many shopper panel surveys but they only ever have one quick question and the rewards go into my account so I get money off my next purchase. I've done quite a few YG and Op surveys this month so they're building up.
DD and I had been worried about the young cat as she wasn't eating much and was disappearing all day and sleeping out at night. DD thought someone else might be feeding her. I bought some expensive cat food and she was back like a shot. I don't think anyone else has been feeding her, she tends to be outdoors a lot in the summer and she's very fussy about food to say she was semi-feral when we acquired her. She slept in the house last night with a tummy full of expensive cat food.
Today's exercise plan is yoga, dog walking, a live lunchtime strength training class and live Zumba tonight.
I'm considering going to a Fashion & Fizz event later today at a local boutique. Not sure whether to go or not at the moment, I'll see how I feel later. I don't particularly need anything. I went to the park volunteers meeting for an hour last night.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of veggie lasagne from freezer stocks with salad.
I need to think about some goals for July.

My cats are mostly living in the flowerbeds and being pretty erratic about eating at the moment SA, so I think you're probably right. The weather is weird, and they're confused!

A bit late in the day but happy Friday 🥂
Worked in the office today but just did 6 hours then went home, despite numerous phone calls from Mr SA asking me to come home earlier 😞
Had a quick wander around the city centre before meeting Mr SA at Lid!Bit of a mare with freebies today. Firstly the free 🐙 Ner0 coffee took the free coffee from my accumulated stamps 😐 Not wanting to lose a free drink I redeemed the 🐙 code for a free fruit tea. I usually have a fruit/herbal tea when I first arrive at the office so at least this saved me the job of making it. I enjoyed the coffee later as it was in my Therm0s mug. Then I had a voucher for a free bakery item from Lid! so picked up a muffin for Mr SA. Apparently not the right muffin as the voucher didn’t redeem - it was definitely activated 😖 Will try again on Monday with a different item.
Did a live WW Summer Strength training session at 5pm live-streamed from the US and joined by members worldwide. It was interesting seeing all the different languages in the chat bar. Very different as it started with a meditation then the weights bit and ended with a recipe.
Sat outside reading for half an hour afterwards before cooking dinner.
So today’s exercise was walking to/from work 23,296 steps plus 30 minutes strength training.
Tonight’s dinner was lightly dusted yellowfin sole with potato wedges and steamed vegetables.
Hoping for a non eventful weekend 🙏I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪8 -
I’ll toast your non-eventful weekend 🥂 here’s to a good book, food, glass of something nice and no drama!

Happy Saturday all 🥂
A NSD today as we didn’t go anywhere other than the park across the road with the dog. It was so nice not to have to traipse to Mr T or anywhere else.
Had a message from a friend wondering if I was free for a catch up next week and fortunately I am. So something nice to look forward to.
Did quite a bit of cleaning trying to catch up with the week. Had just finished the bathroom when Mr SA went straight in with a tummy upset 😞
I treated myself to the No7 summer beauty box on payday and it was delivered today. Really pleased with it and I’ll use all the contents. Well worth the just under £40 price tag.
Not a lot else really.
Exercise was dog walking and general pottering about cleaning etc, hit my over 10,000 steps minimum target. Nice to have a rest day for a change.
Made the PON mushroom masala for tonight’s dinner as I really enjoyed this last time I made it. There’s some leftover for another night.Prosecco is open so no doubt will be asleep shortly 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪7 -
Lovely to have a catch up in the diary 😊
Oh dear to Mr SA, maybe his tummy got overexcited at the thought of a nice newly cleaned bathroom!
Enjoy the prosecco, happy Saturday 🥂
