Morning all.
WFH again today which I'm very grateful I can do as I'm still exhausted.
Payday 🎉
Had an underspend of £59.27 in my personal spends pot for this month so £50 has gone into the master pot and £9.27 to the Christmas pot. Money has been sent to the various sinking funds pots and another oddment of £3.10 has gone to the Christmas pot.
Exercise plan for today is a short yoga session, dog walking this morning, a live power punch class at lunchtime and live resistance bands tonight.
Trying a new recipe for tonight's dinner from the Quick Wins by Ella Mills cookbook: Roasted Squash and Pearl Barley Risotto with Crispy Sage. As it happens I have a butternut squash that needs using up and my sage plant is getting a bit out of control so well timed. I have a small portion of leftover sweet potato curry for lunch as it made a bit more than I expected.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪5 -
Morning all (just).
WFH again today.
Did a lovely relaxing live yoga/Pilates session at 7.30.
The old cat has had her annual vet check and vaccination this morning. She's lost a bit of weight since last year but the vet isn't overly concerned, I just need to keep an eye on her losing more. She's in good shape for 16 which is good to hear. I must give her a good brush though as fur was flying all over the place on the vet's table.
We took her on Mr SA's scooter and we had the dog with us as well so she got a walk out of it.
Stopped off at Mr T for a few things on offer on the way back from the vets and dropped off the soft plastic recycling.
All the regular savers have been topped up this morning and an oddment of £5.47 has gone to the Christmas pot.
The recycling bin has been emptied so have set Mr SA onto jet washing it. I keep trying to find him little jobs to do. He quite enjoys using the little hand held jet washer so an ideal job for him.
Mr M delivery arrived about 30 minutes ago. Mr SA's bread was missing from the order and not subbed so will need to pick up a loaf tomorrow as he's down to his last 4 slices. I forget they'd messaged me saying it was missing, I could've picked on up from Mr T.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from the vets 12,056 steps and the yoga. Will get more steps in over the course of the day.
Tonight's dinner is an old favourite recipe Spanish style butterbean stew with veggie sausages. This will use up some veggie sausages from freezer stocks. I've got leftover squash pearl barley risotto for lunch.
I'm hoping to be able to make it to the park volunteers group meeting at the pub tonight as I want to help out at an event they're holding a week on Saturday. I haven't been to the last couple of meetings.

I don't know where you get your energy from and I'm absolutely in awe of how you cope with the day to day trials and tribulations of MrSA.
How long til you retire?

I can officially go at the end of January but might hang on until June. I definitely want to have finished this time next year.

The plan is to book the next holiday for June 2027 and I don’t want to be returning to work afterwards. So it will be a retirement celebration.
