Morning everyone, happy Sunday.
I’ve been up since before 6am and Mr SA is still sound asleep. I should probably check he’s ok soon. I just hope he’s not storing up sleep so he can watch the football at 1am! My alarm goes off at 4.30am so hopefully not.
I’ll be so glad when all this summer of sport business is done. Mr SA is in his element as he loves it all. I might make him watch Dirty Dancing tonight as payback for having to sit through endless football/cricket/tennis/rugby games 😆I want to get some gardening done today and also touch up some paintwork in the house. I suppose I could finally get around to painting the bench by the pond while I have a brush in my hand.
Might combine the dog walking with a trip to Mr T as Mr SA needs bread and DD isn’t working today. That’s if Mr SA ever gets up!Tonight’s dinner is tofu stir fry with noodles.

Pretty miffed blooming football has trumped Dirty Dancing in the TV schedule 😞 Mr SA said it’s only every 4 years but it isn’t it’s every blooming year now women’s football has been thrown into the mix plus the Euros ☹️

Anyway…
Got all the painting done including the garden bench plus loads of garden tidying. Also got some time reading in the sun in my hanging chair. Can you believe I’d just finished painting the garden bench when three flies decided to land on the wet paint😐 The bench looks loads better for a lick of paint even with fly footprints.
The painting behind Mr SA’s chair was particularly difficult because the chair had rubbed the paint off back to the plaster. Had to do several coats. Warned him to be more careful in future.
I picked my first courgette of the season today. Was late planting them and most of the plants have only just started flowering so was surprised when I discovered a decent sized courgette when I was watering them.
We bumped into the painter earlier when we went to Mr T. Told him we needed some painting doing so will message him tomorrow. We have TVs in other rooms but Mr SA likes me to sit in the same room as him in the evening. To be fair I rarely sit down for more than an hour. If he's watching sport I tend to either watch something on my iPad or do surveys/surf the internet. I'm not a big TV fan. I do put my foot down and don't allow cricket or 'friendly' football matches to trump anything I want to watch.
