Very scary for all concerned. I'm guessing the car went through the glass.

    Morning all, happy Friday eve.

WFH again today so a lovely relaxing start to the day.

DD has gone to work so a good opportunity to give the kitchen and bathroom a good clean. I must clean out the fridge today as ran out of time yesterday.

Picked a bagful of blackberries on the park yesterday, the first ones this year, they went into the 4 lots of overnight oats I made yesterday along with some strawberries and blueberries.

Tasks for today: clean kitchen/bathroom, clean out the fridge and ironing. The garden waste bin is being emptied today so that will be ready to start filling later. Today's gardening task will be tidying up as we seem to have acquired some random bits that have fallen into our garden from next door's building work.

Today's exercise plan is yoga, dog walking, live strength training at lunchtime and live Zumba tonight.

Tonight's dinner is sticky tofu with broccoli from the WW app. This will use up the pak choi from the veg box and some tenderstem broccoli from fridge stocks. I'll have it with rice from cupboard stocks. I need to make something for lunch that will double up for tomorrow's lunch so will have a rummage around to see what I can come up with.

It should be a NSD too as no plans to buy anything or go anywhere other than the park across the road.

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪

That's early for blackberries. I love fruit with oats. Just had a bowl of muesli topped with chopped nectarine & kefir.

Our blackberries are red but no black ones yet.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

There's loads of black ones on the park, I couldn't reach some of them they were so high up. I've just picked another full bag. I'm really boring with breakfasts and only have overnight oats. I put Greek yoghurt, oats, chia seeds and berries in layers in a jar. I've got 4 jars so I can make 4 days worth of breakfasts in one go.

We've got lots of ripening blackberries round us too - MrEH is already making murmurings about jam!

Ours are still green but at least you've got me checking on them. There are two significant new branches off the brambles that I didn't notice the other day but as they are growing into the only space available to them - over the lawn - I need to get the secateurs to them.

Most of the blackberries here about a are still green, but there is one patch locally we're I've picked about 10 servings from.

My Mum couldn't walk far as she had myaesthenia gravis but she used to go around the nearby cricket field with a big yoghurt pot every day or two, pick whatever blackberries were ripe, then tip them into a bag in the freezer until she had enough to make jam.

Like Foxgloves Mum I like to use a yoghurt pot when collecting blackberries - I prefer the 1 litre tubs with a handle, we have a stack we have saved and use them often.
