Morning all
Still so cross with Mr SA. I don't know what he thinks he's doing. Yes @Cherryfudge there will definitely be a part bottle with a mixture of vinegar and blackcurrant squash in that cupboard from now on. He won't do it for a while now but he'll do it again for sure. I hate having to hide everything though. Last night he still had unopened beer so it's not as if he didn't have anything. It must be something to do with his brain injury and how his mind works that makes him feel he needs to be a 'naughty boy'.
Anyway moving on from that stress…
WFH today so had a nice relaxing start to the day.
Finally spent the £25 MnS voucher on the summer beauty box launched today. I also had a £2 Sp@rks voucher so only £13 exchanged hands. I'm sure this box was only £30 last year.
Had an email from Vintage CC saying they are now valuing my box of junk and I'll get an offer within the next two days. It's taken a while but they've kept in touch, explaining they've been busier than normal so things are taking a bit longer. I'm not expecting much for this stuff, I'm just glad to get it out of the house, some things will probably be worthless but they'll get recycled rather than just sitting in a drawer.
The shed will be finished today so I can start getting the things back in. If I put the electrical bits in tonight I can take my time with the rest. I'm not allowing all Mr SA's junk back in it. The shed man has left a decent gap between the shed and greenhouse so I can get between them for maintenance which is a lot better than it was before. He's also cleared the patio area where it's situated of soil so the area is a lot bigger now the conifers have gone.
Today's exercise is a yoga session later this morning, dog walking later this morning, a lunchtime live strength training session and live Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner is veg sausage and butter bean stew.

Two MSE things: Lid! have sent me a voucher for a free nut/dried fruit item this morning and had the monthly statement from 0ct0pus and we're using less gas/electricity than the monthly payment so the credit is building back up and now stands at £360.

Ooh I had a Lil's offer for a free cleaning item this morning - so far I'm quite liking the change to the rewards scheme!

I had the offer of the free nuts as well. I normally buy nuts from an eco refill shop to avoid packaging, but as its free, I might just use the offer.

When it first changed I was moaning about it (albeit silently to myself) but in the past week I've had a free 7.5kg bag of potatoes and now free nuts/dried fruit. Hopefully this isn't just to lull us into a false sense of security 😆Typical that I bought a bag of sultanas yesterday though.

Yes, I was the same, even said to DH that I might not shop there any more….LOL But I also had the free potatoes, and also 15% of a couple of useful things….although the lemons I had the coupon for, weren't actually available when I went in. I do like L*d!, as its smaller than having to troll round Mr S or T's or Mr M, and the staff are actually a lot more friendly. Although these days I think we have to divide our loyalties, depending what offers there are. Last week I had £5 off £30 in Mr M, so it made sense to go there as I was passing anyway.

I got the coupon for nuts, too - I'm sure it's to keep market share as the new points thing is a bit complicated-looking. I've decided to leave my points in place till I can do a money-off thing, unless I happen to notice an offer for something I'd buy anyway, which is unlikely as I have too much going on in my head to sort through which items I might want! It looks to me as though the new points thing equates points to pennies so it's effectively a free item when youve spent the equivalent number of points to the pennies cost of the item… IYSWIM. 😁

I've not massively looked into how the points thing works - I probably should do at some stage. To be honest the weekly coupons in the personalised section of the app make it worthwhile for me anyway - this week I've got 15% off halloumi which is handy as I used the last block on Tuesday night!

This week I have the coupon for free nuts or dried fruit. Last week's was for a free loaf. Coupons for things we actually use is brilliant.
You can put the points catalogue in numerical order, I always choose lowest to highest, click on the up and down arrows on the left hand side below the banner.
I shop at Lidl regularly but only for the odd bit, unless it is free 😆

I do most of the grocery shopping in Mr M because of getting staff discount courtesy of DD working there. However I like to shop around and pass Lid! on my way home from work so it makes sense to pop in and grab their offers. I also like to pop in Mr T when we drop off the soft plastics recycling but tend not to buy that much from there. There's an Ald! fairly close by but I only pop in now and again because I prefer Lid! now.
