Morning all.
Well the Eurovision viewing was cut short thanks to Mr SA leaving a trail of 💩 all up the stairs to the bathroom so I had to clean it up. The carpet will still need a good shampoo today though. I went to bed after that. He had forgotten to take his tablet apparently 😞Got loads to do today on top of carpet cleaning. DD is at work so will be able to get in the kitchen and bathroom for cleaning purposes.
We’re taking the dog to the further away local park with a plant nursery this morning as I want to see what plants they have. As Aldee is very close by I might have a quick visit. You can drop off electrical recycling at the park so will take Mr SA’s old drills.
Tonight’s dinner will involve salmon. There’s loads of Prosecco left thanks to the evening being cut short.
Exercise will be walking to/from the park and a yoga session later.
I’ve decided to WFH tomorrow so I can make sure Mr SA tells it like it is on the call with the IBD team. Last time he had an appointment with them a couple of years ago he cancelled it (unknown to me) as soon as they mentioned investigation by camera. I’ve told him he must go through with it as he’s getting worse and it needs looking into.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪4 -
It's important it gets investigated - aside from all the lifestyle implications, the health risks go way beyond what he's suffering at the moment. Good idea to WFH and keep an eye on him: I'm sure you know what needs to be said!

I'm sure you already. know this, but have a written list with you of things to mention/questions to ask, and tick them off as you go. Definitely agree that you should be with him, as he's not to be trusted/doesn't have the mental capacity to make the right decisions.

You probably already know this, but they can use a general anaesthetic and do top and tail.

I dream of a shed that beautifully tidy. The time will come though. I have shed-tidying in my sights for some point over the next 2 or 3 weeks.
Re Mr SA's bowel trouble…..could he possibly have developed a degree of lactose intolerance as well? This is apparently something which can happen naturally to some people as they get older as lactase enzyme levels decrease. I have been reading up on it because I have recently come to the conclusion that I have developed this myself & am now controlling symptoms by ensuring I only have small amounts of milk. It definitely seems to be making a difference.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2 -
Yes I use lactose-free milk and have certainly noticed the difference. It lasts well too.

No I didn’t know this. I think he’d prefer it.
