Morning all
I was so glad to be WFH today, I didn't even get the Sunday scaries last night. Shame I've now got to do 3 days on the trot in the office as I need to be at home again on Friday.
Mr SA's phone consultation is done. I ended up speaking to the consultant as Mr SA was struggling to make himself understood. The consultant has ordered loads of tests but is hesitant to order a colonoscopy at this stage due to Mr SA's mobility issues. He wants to see Mr SA face to face in 4 months time when all the tests should be done. Relieved that the ball is finally rolling.
After the call the scooter place turned up to change a mud guard.
Then we took the dog on the park.
It's all go 😆
Monday finance check done and cc balance cleared. Sent the £22 Vintage cc payment to the Christmas pot and also an oddment of £3.56. Have had quite a spendy weekend but all covered by various pots.
Today's exercise has been dog walking, I'm going to do a walking type workout at lunchtime and it's live strength training tonight.
I also plan to do yet another freezer inventory. Getting down a fair bit of the contents now.
Need to make soup for work lunches and a vegan banana loaf.

I'm glad it's all done for now and that you had the opportunity to speak to the specialist. It sounds as though the consultant is covering as many bases as possible without the colonoscopy.

most coeliacs at diagnosis are lactose intolerant, though it does settle done for some.
I’m both although I take a lactose tablet off amazon - and I can now tolerate it, though we have lactose free milk by default now as it tastes the same

Hope the IBD consultant can get some results quickly. Did he say what tests they would do? DH had Xray, many blood tests, poo test and Colonoscopy before he was diagnosed.

Loads of tests including one where he has to take a radio active tablet beforehand. The only one they’re not doing unless they have to is the colonoscopy because of him not being mobile enough to rush to the toilet.

Those pre-colonoscopy meds are dire. The last one I had I took a book & drink & just sat on the toilet for hours. Oh for a padded toilet seat!

I've had both at once with sedation but if you struggle with this kind of thing the level of sedation wasn't enough to block it out so I can see why briefly being fully knocked out might be better. To make matters worse for me they fluffed something with the lower end and I had to go again!
