Thank you for the information, it's very much appreciated. DIL has already joined an online education group so hopefully this is along the lines of what you've mentioned. Time will tell whether DGD continues her education at home or she ends up back at school. I don't interfere and trust DIL and DS to make the right decisions for her.

And that's my 2 weeks leave done 😞

I've had a very productive day today, pleased with what I've achieved.

Had to check up on Mr SA and the dog as they were both fast asleep at 9am!

Once Mr SA finally got up and had his breakfast, we were just about to leave to take the dog out when Mr SA had a tummy upset and had to get showered and changed. It's like trying to leave the house with a baby sometimes!

Anyway the dog eventually got her walk on the park.

Made a batch of carrot & squash soup for work lunches. Swapped out the potato in this recipe for swede and used unsweetened coconut milk from a carton rather than a tin. I also made it smooth rather than chunky. Anyway on sample tasting it's delicious.

Mr SA is up to his old tricks again. I'd washed his gloves he keeps on his scooter and went to put them back in the bag he keeps on the back. There I found 2 cans of cold beer which he must've picked up when he took the dog out this afternoon. I've taken them out and hidden them. I was tempted to mention it to him but want him to go to fetch them and find them gone. I wonder whether he'll say anything. It's not as if he doesn't have a few cans to enjoy tonight, I don't know why he feels he needs to push for more.

While Mr SA was having his siesta I sorted out all the decorating related items in the shed and put them in a box. I also threw away an ancient battered tool bag. There are loads of broken drills in there that really need getting rid of but I know Mr SA will want to keep them - even though they don't work and he has a new one.

Gave the kitchen and bathroom a good clean and steam scrubbed all the floors.

Planted some seeds in the greenhouse and labelled them so I don't forget what I've sewn.

Tonight's dinner is air fried salmon with Mexican rice and stir fried veg.

Logged onto my work laptop to check my calendar and I'd totally forgotten I was meeting friends for lunch on Tuesday. The shed is being delivered sometime in the morning and I'd planned to WFH until it had been dropped off then go into the office. I know Mr SA will be home but he's uncomfortable taking the delivery when he's on his own. Hopefully they'll deliver it early in the day, they've given me a time window of 07.43-11.43. I'm meeting my friends at 12 in the city centre. I've also had a load of meetings put in my calendar for Tuesday so the day is going to be a bit of a nightmare, I'm going to have to decline some of them as I could be in transit or dealing with the delivery.

I'm just about to do a short yoga session then have a soak in the bath with a face pack.
