I messaged the shed guy but unfortunately he only removes sheds. I posted for recommendations on a local FB group and someone I work with messaged me saying this is what her husband does and they’re only a few roads away from us. So he’s coming to have a look tomorrow. Better someone I know than a stranger.

Good to get that work done & great that they also know someone who can sort out the shed for you. That recipe sounds nice. We have a couple of PON books, so I shall have to try & remember to check & see if the one you mention is one of them, as the recipe sounds like the sort of thing we'd both enjoy. I quite like making their Thai-spiced fish with noodles.

I will admit to having had the little electric stove in the conservatory on for half an hour this afternoon, but no way is the central heating going on now that I'm busy building up credit for the coming autumn & winter.

Great the garden has been done. Definitely allocate those funds to shed, all the big jobs you can pay for while still working will be a big long-term benefit

The work colleague’s husband came to look at the shed today and can do the work. He does outdoor work like gardening etc and asked if we needed anything else doing. I had to smile when he looked at the patio and said he did jet washing 😆 Anyway that’s handy to know as I have a list of things I’d like doing but he said let’s do the shed first and take it from there. So I need to order a shed tomorrow and let him know.

From posting on the FB group I had loads of recommendations. I’ve found some great tradesmen from doing this in the past. However I’d rather use the husband of someone I know.

Morning all.

Shed has been purchased and being delivered on Tuesday. I'll message the garden chap later. He said he should be able to dismantle the old one and put the new one up in the same day. Once I've got a date for that we will have to seriously clear out the old shed. Mr SA has so much junk in there it's unbelievable. He hangs on to everything.

Forgot to mention I found the source of the fishy smell by the understairs cupboard and it was under the hall flooring. One of the cats (probably the younger one) had peed on the floor a while ago and it must've somehow seeped through the joins and gone underneath the panels. I had to take up some of the panels and thoroughly clean underneath. The smell of ammonia was overpowering. I've left the panels off so the floor underneath can dry out thoroughly. I hope I can get them back down again! This is despite having a cat litter tray in the hall. The younger cat is still quite feral in her behaviour so I wouldn't be surprised if she's the culprit - the little so and so 😡

Glad I decided to go to Lidl! today as I grabbed some bargains. Had a voucher on the app for a free vegetable item so picked up a 7.5kg sack of potatoes. I needed some other veg so went back in for those. As luck would have it they had just put out some fantastic fruit/veg boxes so got one absolutely packed with stuff. I was very pleased with my haul.

I’d been wanting to go to the international store next door for a while but lacking in time so popped in there too and got some big bags of spices I use a lot of. So much cheaper than buying the little jars.

Mr SA has done nothing but sleep today plus he has a dodgy tummy.

Already got one load of washing dry and ironed. The washing seems to be endless not helped by Mr SA producing extra.

Today’s exercise so far walking to/from Lid!, a lunchtime strength training session and it’s Zumba tonight. Also did over an hour’s gardening and almost filled the newly emptied garden waste bin. There’s such a lot to do but I’m chipping away at it.
