Just a thought… if you let him sneak in a few items you would rather he didn't take, could they get left behind when you go home?

Morning all. We are all checked in and in the airport lounge. The airport is really quiet hardly anyone about. The check in staff gave Mr SA a birthday card, how nice.
We have to go the the boarding gate in just over an hour to get on the ambu lift. Take off is around 10.30.
Glad I bought the meal deals in Mr T yesterday as they’re double the price at the airport. Filled up our water bottles in the lounge.
Mr SA has forgotten his watch, I’m hoping this isn’t a deliberate ploy to get a new one. His eyes were out on stalks as I was wheeling him through the shopping area!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪8 -
Happy birthday Mr SA! And have a good flight, both of you. Perhaps the new watch could be put on hold with a suggestion to wait till he's checked his suitcase in case it got packed?

No way is he getting a new one, he’s already got plenty. He rarely wears them then the batteries all run out at the same time, it costs a fortune to replace them and they get stuffed in a drawer.

Oh lordy....could be entering a watch-pester phase.

We’ve been at the hotel a couple of hours. Nice touch with a glass of cava on arrival and wine and water in the fridge. The room is lovely with sunbeds on the patio.
The weather is partly cloudy but warm.
The flight was an hour late taking off due to technical issues. The airports both ends were empty. I had to do the entry thing on arrival but the machine kept refusing my fingerprints so I was just waved through. Mr SA didn’t have to do it at all.Mr SA was hankering after a watch on the plane but I said no. We were on the coach to the hotel and he spotted a shop selling crocs 😐 I feel a watch/crocs pester brewing 😞
Anyway I need to freshen up and get changed to go out. I think I’ll sleep well tonight I’m shattered.

That sounds lovely, enjoy your evening.
At least you have something solid to bribe Mr SA with if he's well behaved 😁

Afternoon all 😎
Last night was a cheap night €6.80 for a massive G&T and a beer followed by €31 for another massive G&T, water, 2 beers, pizza and fish & chips. That’s for both of us not just me 🤣
Today is Mr SA’s birthday and don’t I know it! He started off the day with a new bum bag followed by a t shirt. The crocs pester is still ongoing.
We went for lunch and his pint slipped out of his hand and went all over my dress. I was absolutely drenched. Fortunately it’s warm and breezy so it dried out on the way back to the hotel. I wasn’t best pleased at the time though 😐When we got back to the hotel they had left a bottle of Freixneit cava in an ice bucket with 2 glasses and some Lindor chocolates for Mr SA’s birthday on the patio. How nice 😍
Picked up some things at a Mercadona supermarket that makes Lidl! look expensive. Wow how cheap and what a brilliant place to shop had we been self catering , it had a fantastic selection of everything. It cost just €15 for 2 bottles of cava, a 12 pack of lager, 2 5 litre bottles of water and a pack of pizza tostadas.
Swapped a book I’d brought on holiday specifically to swap at the hotel book swap that I knew my book swap friend wouldn’t like.
Mr SA is having his siesta and I’m sitting in the hazy but warm sunshine. Tonight’s plan is a drink at a bar that’s a particular favourite of ours followed by an evening meal at an Asian restaurant also a favourite.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪10 -
I'm a big Mercadona fan , there is one next to the hotel I go to in Nerja. Hope you and Mr SA have a lovely evening celebrating his birthday .
