Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
Today’s plan is to get the grass cut and do some weeding/trimming. Also to pack the cases.
Mr SA’s case is more or less packed, need to make a start on mine. Annoyingly he wanted to start wearing some of the clothes today so had to put my foot down. He’s got a scruffy old pair of crocs that I know he’ll try to sneak in despite him already taking 3 lots of footwear.
DS and the GKs were supposed to be visiting today but he’d forgotten they had planned to go to a Pagan event. Thankfully he’d already posted Mr SA’s birthday cards.
Today’s exercise so far has been a live Zumba class and dog walking.
Tonight’s dinner is veggie burger, wedges and salad.
Better crack on…I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
This nearly-birthday-girl is also packing today. Mr F can't believe I'm only taking 2 pairs of boots! I'm hoping he isn't planning to take the raggy old pair of jeans I've just pegged out in the line as he'll get arrested if he wears those!!
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2 -
I've started washing my summer clothes (brought down from the attic) so I can start thinking about packing. I'm only taking carry on though so I don't think it'll take me long to pack 😂

Gave the garden a good tidy, did 3 loads of washing and almost finished packing my case.
Had some time for relaxation in my hanging chair in the glorious sunshine ☀️
DD is at work tomorrow so the plan is to clean the house. I need to go to the big Mr T first though to get a meal deal for the plane. Also need to get a few toiletry items.
The young cat has also enjoyed the sunshine 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -

Morning all 🙂
Loads to do today:
- Finish packing
- Clean the house
- Water plants - indoor/outdoor
- Paint toenails
- Go to big Mr T
- Check finances and close off 4 week budget period
Today’s exercise will be walking to/from Mr T and yoga before I get in the bath.
Tonight’s dinner is a portion of nut roast from freezer stocks with roast root veg and any other veg that needs using. Will finally finish off the sack of potatoes today.
Fell asleep watching TV last night so loads of Prosecco left. I think I only had half a glass before I nodded off.
Taxi is booked for 06.45 tomorrow so will be getting up at normal work time. This time tomorrow we should be sat in the airport lounge. Coffee first then a cheeky glass of fizz 🥂
