Excellent day of productivity there!
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2 -
Fabulous productivity 🥂
Definitely the right call not letting Mr SA see the box of bits to go 😁

Morning all
WFH again today thank goodness. Had a nice relaxing start to the day.
I have a nail/eyebrows appointment later booked and paid for back in February. While I'm down that way I'll drop off the VCC parcel at the PO.
Mr SA is driving me nuts coming up with things he thinks he still needs for the holiday. I've had to put my foot down and say absolutely no trips into town this weekend which is what he's hankering after. He really doesn't need anything else new! He's also started wearing his new things when I asked him to save them for holiday. I feel like packing his case and locking it up to stop him taking things out/adding extra things 😆
Exercise plan for today is yoga, walking to/from the local high street for appointment, a live lunchtime strength training session and live Zumba tonight. Mr SA is on dog walking duties today as I'll be out for some time at the appointment and can't spare yet more time out of my working day. I keep having to remind him I've still got to fit in a full working day around everything else! Thank goodness for flexi time.
It should be a NSD as my nails/eyebrows are already paid for.
Tonight's dinner is the stir fry I didn't make yesterday as I'd got the smoked tofu out of the freezer instead of the plain one. So instead of the stir fry last night I made the recipe I usually make with smoked basa but using smoked tofu which worked really well.
No massive to do list today but at the very least I want to pack the holiday toiletries and see if anything needs picking up tomorrow. DD is at work again so will give the bathroom a clean and vacuum everywhere. I've done a load of washing so there'll be ironing to do.
I'm hoping this is my last full working day as I'd like to finish early tomorrow. Two whole weeks off work - bliss 😁
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪9 -
I don’t think there is a better feeling than being on the cusp of a holiday from work 😂

So hope you get to finish early tomorrow.

And that’s work done for 2 weeks 🥳
Worked in the office today, was hoping to finish early but sadly not ☹️Ended up leaving at the time I wanted to finish to come home to log back on. I tried to finish from the office but started getting really stressed so thought it was better to finish up at home. Ended up finishing at 5.30!
Euros have been picked up ✔️
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home for a few things. Qualified for the free nuts/dried fruits item so went back in to pick it up as it expires while we are away. I got a huge bag of walnuts.
Had the free 🐙 coffee this morning.
Had a message from Vintage 💰 🐮 to say they’d received the box of assorted carp I posted yesterday. Received replacement jet washer.
End of the week finances checked and cc balance paid off. I’m going to close off the 4 week budget period on Sunday. The payday money shuffle will have to wait until I get back from holiday. I always seem to be on holiday when it’s payday.
Today’s exercise was walking to/from work and a live stream strength training session on the WW app between UK, Canada and USA. This was to introduce the new partnership with Pvolve.
Tonight’s dinner was lemon & pepper gastro fish thing with steamed veg.Looking forward to putting my feet up with a G&T but will no doubt fall asleep as I’m absolutely shattered 🥱
