Afternoon all
I accepted the quote. He has been recommended several times on local FB groups and by coincidence a friend also recommended him.
Worked in the office for a short time this morning. I usually WFH on Thursdays but swapped for Friday as I've decided it's better for me to WFH tomorrow as I have a hair appointment then my friend's retirement do. Mr SA is moaning about me going to the do but it won't affect him other than I'll be out early evening for a couple of hours, he'll still get his dinner before I go!!
I had to pick up a few things from the city centre on the way home, mainly for Mr SA, then stopped off at Lid!. In random things that Lid! are out of stock of I haven't been able to get own brand veg stock cubes for a while. Mr SA's lip balms are still unavailable so have bought him some from Sooperdrug which he's tested and likes - thanks for the recommendation @PennysIntoPounds 🙂
Today's freebies - free N£r0 coffee and free choc bar from Lid! Mr SA loves the white chocolate bars so he'll be pleased with that.
Did absolutely zilch from my to do list yesterday apart from cleaning up. Mainly because the weather was dire by the time I finished work - the garden storage box ideally needs to be built outside and you can guarantee if I phoned the jet washer customer services that would involve going outside to test it out.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work 20,023 steps and I'm doing a live Zumba class later.
Tonight's dinner is chilli tacos, swapping the beef mince for quorn mince and leaving out the sour cream. Still using up that box of tacos I opened a while ago.

Morning all, happy Friday.
10 days to holiday 😎
WFH today so had a nice relaxing start to the day.
End of week finance check done and cc balance paid off.
Still got the massive to do list, really need to make inroads into it, probably not today though as it will be pretty full on.
The tree man is calling me later probably to discuss a start date for the tree work.
We need a new shed so currently trying to decide if we'd be better off getting a company in that supplies and assembles sheds or to buy one and pay a handyman to dismantle the old shed and put the new one up. If we went for option A we would still have to dismantle the old shed, I think option B would work out cheaper. I'd need to source a handyman but there are plenty recommended on the local FB pages. Mr SA put the current shed together pre illness days.
I've decided to go to my friend's retirement do straight after the hairdressers as most of my friends are going early. I've had to convince Mr SA he won't starve to death if he has his dinner an hour later than normal! He was moaning about the inconvenience to him so had to remind him this is just one minor inconvenience and he inconveniences me on a daily basis.
Today's exercise plan is yoga, dog walking and strength training.
No idea what tonight's dinner will be yet as I don't know whether there'll be food at my friend's do. If not I'll have a portion of the chilli I made last night on a jacket potato.
DD is working so I'm hoping to give the kitchen a good clean if I get chance.

The sheer cheek of Mr SA never fails to amaze me. He needs to wake up and smell the coffee. If he was in a care home he would not know what had hit him!

Hope you’re fed and watered and enjoy the retirement do. Could you leave something in the slow cooker for MrSA or would he be eating it all day 🥴

He will only eat fish and chips on Fridays 😐

Evening all.
Left the do last night around 6.30. It was lovely to see my friends but wish I’d stuck to my original plan of going later as apparently there was lots of dancing and I would’ve absolutely loved that. I feel so different to everyone else and it upsets me ☹️ No one else has to worry about caring responsibilities. I just feel like I’ve lost my sparkle, disappointed with myself 😞
Mr SA got his blooming fish and chips albeit around 40 minutes later than usual. There wasn’t any food up until the point I left the do so had to make myself something too.
Took the dog on the park this morning then dropped her back home and took Mr SA to the big Mr T to see if they had any T-shirts for him as they were doing 25% off. They don’t have the best stock of men’s clothes at this store but he got a T-shirt and a pair of shorts. He could probably do with a couple more T-shirts.
DS and the GKs were meant to be visiting but DIL was unwell with a tummy bug and DS didn’t want to risk passing it on.
Utilised the freed up time to put the garden storage box together, cut the grass and do some weeding.
As it was dry, sunny and windy got two loads of washing dry although this resulted in lots of ironing.
Exercise has been 16,612 steps walking/gardening.
Tonight’s dinner was pizza, salad and wedges. Rose Prosecco has been opened so will probably be asleep shortly 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
