Starting to feel a bit better now although my arm is still very sore and tender. I managed to get out with the dog for a bit and felt better for the fresh, although extremely windy, air.
In Mr SA news, he had a phone consultation with his consultant today, we'd both forgotten about it. He mentioned he'd had a liver scan and the GP cancelled it due to being off sick and he hadn't heard anything since. The consultant said he'd chase it up and also said he'd like to see him in clinic face to face for a check over. The GP called shortly after that and Mr SA has a small cyst on his liver which needs further investigation. Not long afterwards his expensive filling fell out so he's back at the dentists tomorrow.
In money saving news I'd cancelled a magazine subscription that had been on a 12 issues for £12 deal. I was waiting for another offer and today I was offered 12 issues for £20 so have gone with that. So not a NSD after all, but that's a good deal.
Another thing to add to my to do list is my senior railcard needs renewing next month. I'll use clubcard points to pay for it as I have £56.50 at the moment. I don't use it much but it saves me a little and it's only costing me points.
I've done a towels wash and they're drying nicely in the wind although I've had to rescue a couple that had blown off the line.

The shingles jab is well worth the trouble. I've known a couple of people who had shingles young with no problem but then got it in their 70s & were really ill. It does seem to be one of those things that are much worse when you are older. I had it in my 50s so it wasn't too bad but I can still stick my nail in where it was centred & feel nothing, so it must have caused damage.

Oh blimey SA it does sound a bit one thing after another at your end!
My takes 😁
-Mr SA has a card so he can go get cash if he wants it
-That is ridiculous about his filling, get yer compo/freebie face on if you have energy
-Good to get the quote for tree but not priority since you know they won't be able to do the work for a while and who knows what random costs will change in the meantime
-Mr SA can tackle the tree himself after nesting season if he feels that strongly about it
-Mr SA's insurance is coming out of his personal spends
-Excellent work chasing the gold envelope/noting to do the railcard and book the boiler
-You deserve a long weekend somewhere, alone, with unlimited prosecco and books and sleeps
Can you tell I'm in uber-efficient mode after a day dealing with build back and forths 😂

I think Mr SA's PA (that would be you) deserves a pay rise.
Re the train card, last time I got one I opted for the two-year version as it worked out cheaper than two one-year ones. I'm not sure if that offer is still there, but it may be worth a look.

I don't think you can opt for the two year version if buying via clubcard vouchers but will double check when I renew it.

Happy Friday 🎉
Worked in the office this morning, WFH this afternoon.
Thankfully I feel back to normal now.
Mr SA has had his filling redone, he's informed me it's not a filling it's an overlay. It's guaranteed for a year so all covered.
He's also got a hospital appointment for a liver scan a week on Monday. I've had to take the day off work to take him. I've promised him lunch out afterwards. We're going to trial getting there via bus using his wheelchair.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home and managed to bag a £2 fruit and veg box 😁 I had a coupon for 15% off porridge oats so picked up a couple of bags as I get through a lot of it with my overnight oats.
Which reminds me I need to make up a batch of overnight oats later. I've got 4 little jars and layer up natural fat free Greek yoghurt with a scoop of oats and a sprinkle of chia seeds then some fruit. I make up 4 jars at a time so that's my breakfast for the next 4 days sorted. This probably sounds like a really boring breakfast to most people, I'm not really a breakfast person but need a bit of something in the morning and this is about the only breakfast thing I like.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work, a live Zumba session this afternoon and a yoga session before I jump in the bath later.
Tonight's dinner is smoked haddock fishcake with sweet potato wedges and steamed veg.

Enjoy your weekend. I’m not a breakfast person either.

Ohhhh, now you've got me fancying a smoked haddock fishcake! I used to buy those occasionally & had completely forgotten about them. Good idea to trial the wheelchair & bus combo. Hope it goes well - the scan too, of course.
