Morning all, happy Friday eve 😊

WFH again today so a nice relaxing start to the day.

I managed to get a fair bit of decluttering done after work yesterday. I sorted out all my toiletries so I can see what I've got - they had got a bit all over the place with a fresh supplies arriving as Christmas gifts. I also made a start on sorting out bits of make up still unused that have been in gifts sets/beauty boxes in the past. Anything I won't use and is still  unopened has gone in the charity bag. Anything opened and used but not finished and not likely to be finished has gone in a bag ready to take to Mr T and drop in the make up recycling box. Also threw away several ancient nail varnishes that unfortunately can't be recycled. When I've finished that task I'm going to declutter my handbags then that's the shelves in my wardrobe decluttered. I'm determined to be ruthless 🤣

I have a few little 'frogs' to do that I keep putting off so I'm going to make a list and see how many I can shift today. None of them are big tasks and will probably take 5 or 10 minutes at the most. I'll report back on progress later.

Today's exercise plan is dog walking later, day 22 of the 10 minutes yoga challenge, a live strength training class at lunchtime and live Zumba at 5.15.

Tonight's dinner is very much a use up freezer stocks meal, I've had a box of vegetable fingers in the freezer for ages (part of one of those freezer filler deals in Mr M) so I'm going to do some of them with swede 'chips' and lots of steamed veg.

I finely chop mushrooms to bulk out bolognese - they get a very similar texture to mince when they're fried off having been cut small.

I need to check what I can take to the B00ts recycling scheme - I've got to go to a store at some stage anyway. My suspicion is that there is a lot they will say they can't take as theoretically it's recyclable at home (but in our area, it probably isn't!)

You've reminded me that I also want to schedule a time to go through my wardrobe - might chuck that on the friday list for a couple of weeks time.

On the frogs front, so far I have:

Phoned Mr SA's dentist to ask why they haven't called in him for a check up for well over a year. As suspected he'd come off their books. They said he'd have to re-register as a private patient as they weren't taking on any new NHS patients. They suggested a practice a few miles away that was taking NHS patients so I told them we don't have a car so it would be difficult getting him there as he's disabled. Lo and behold they were suddenly able to take him on as a NHS patient! So he has an appointment next week.

Booked in a repair for the leaking under sink pipe for next week.

Opened an easy access savings account with YBS for my sinking funds with a much better interest rate than the NW it currently sits in. Now the YBS and NW apps talk to each other transfers are super easy and instant. I've started off with a deposit of the tech replacement pot with the others to follow one by one. I might as well keep the funds in an account with better interest as there's usually around £3k in there at any given time.

Not really a frog because the letter only arrived this lunchtime - the P 6 months saver matures in a couple of weeks so I've given instructions to open a new account with £200 of it and send the rest to the current account as this is the holiday pot.

None of the above tasks took longer than 5 minutes each.
I love being able to just get through small tasks like that. A real sense of satisfaction.

That's a good point, I must have one of those 6 month savers nearing it's finish too - hopefully they will have a new issue by then as I'm pretty sure I already have an issue 4!
