BalanceBy50 said:Looking really good @jwil. Have you started paying more towards your debts? I need to do a DMP review & keep putting it off but they are now chasing me.We had my youngest’s Easter service yesterday - I didn’t know any of the songs - you couldn’t call them hymns😂 so felt really old. I love a good hymn from my childhood 😂I hope you have a lovely weekend and that the completed bedroom looks fab xx
Hope you enjoyed the service. They don't seem to do the traditional hymns any more do they? I always find it disappointing at Christmas. Never a hint of 'Little donkey' either! I didn't recognise any of the songs yesterday, but I quite enjoyed them.
The bedroom looks great with the carpet. Now need to get the furniture in and see what we need to buy. Hoping for a good sort out before we move the toys in too! We did books the other day as the school were looking for donations (not that I've dropped them off yet, might try and add some more)."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I've been catching up on the admin this morning. I haven't redone my SOA properly, but had a quick look as to how it might be impacted. I will go back and do it properly at some point.
DH is taking the kids out this afternoon, so I'm going to just potter about, make a start on the spring cleaning.

I love seeing your decluttering lists, you are brilliant at this. I fell off the decluttering challenge wagon for a week so need to climb back on.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I do wonder at my DH sometimes. He got up this morning to find a missed call from the elderly neighbour. Instead of calling her to check she's ok, he texted her son who lives halfway across the country. I did give her a call and she's ok thankfully, just a misdial accident. He just doesn't think sometimes!
Today's plan is to take down little miss's old bed and take it and the mattress to the tip. It was second hand when we got it, and I don't think it will survive another child, it's getting a bit rickety. We need to get her new chest of drawers upstairs into her new room and can start sorting out what else is going in there, and if we need to buy anything.
That will give me space in little jwil's room to start cleaning and prepping for the painting. I bought some mould cleaner for the damp patch, so will do that, and there's some areas on the wall that need filling. I might slap a coat of paint over little miss's 'artwork' (she drew all over the wall in marker pen during lockdown) in the hope that it will cover it and I won't need to do a million coats of paint otherwise.
I doubt all of that will be done today as we are taking the kids to a NT property to do the Easter Egg hunt, but it will be good to make a start.

Have a lovely day at the egg hunt.
Good luck with covering the wall art. Is it a big space if not maybe a white board, black board, tall mirror could cover it if the paint doesn'tJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Is the wall fairly flat..our neighbours bought a vinyl/sticky back type wallpaper for a wall in there daughter's room. Not totally sure what is was but it looks nice. And that way in years to come if it gets peeled off a bit of lockdown history has been savedJan 18 Joint debts 35,213
