Small steps lead to big changes...

Well done on the PAD total. Small changes/small steps definitely work in the long term. I’m a big fan of chipping away at something rather than go hell for leather and lose momentum.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

you are doing so well with the clearing out. I’m terrible, but keep chipping away too. I really like watching clutterfreecarli on Instagram. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I agree, there are a couple of things that I have changed that I feel are permanent habits now, and are automatic, so whenever I wobble, I think of those. I just need to stop being impatient.

It's worth having your knee x-rayed to see what the problem actually is. I thought I'd damaged ligaments at the start of covid lockdown but it turns out I have bony spurs on the inside of both knees due to arthritis (family problem so probably genetic). I've seen a consultant and because the damage is on the inside of both knees I am having half kneee replacements which I didn't even know was a thing.
Our NHS trust does have a BMI level that you have to be below to access the surgery but my sister who lives in Ireland didn't have to lose weight for her replacement. At least if you have an x-ray you will know what you are facing.3 -
Has anyone got good ideas for healthy snacks please? I'm eating far too much chocolate again and want to stop. I'd like something a bit more substantial than fruit and veg, but ideally something that doesn't need to be chilled, lower carb and that can be grabbed on the go.
I'm still guilty of just grabbing stuff when I'm busy, so I want to at least make it a bit healthier whilst I work on breaking that habit!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -

With hindsight, I should have got it checked, as I think that was the point where I stopped being active, and that loss of activity/fitness has now caught up on me. However, I was on my own with the kids who were already freaked out as they were with me when I fell, I was working and home schooling that day, and it was at the height of when we were all trying to stay away from hospitals and I didn't have anyone that could come and sit with them."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
