Jackie, fantastic news that you have a dateI dont want to drag your thread down or take off topic, but Im so cross with the !!!!!! up the NHS has become. A friend, a lot younger then us, spent 2 months trying to see a GP, had some tests, waited another few weeks for the results, was told she was on the Urgent referral - four months - and the tumour is looking already to be ovaries, womb and bowelShes not even mid 50's
Sorry. Im just upsetIm keeping everything crossed that you get sorted on the 17th. Its not comfortable being left as you have been xxxx14 -

Thank you chums, only just over a week to go thank goodness, and I so hope its not cancelled because of any strike
.
I'm just hoping to be rid of my drain as I'm getting fed up of carting it arond on my hip all the time .It will be nice to be able hopefully to go out once more and no doubt I'll have a big shock at the price rises as I've not been in a shop for food shopping since before Christmas .
I was lucky that I stocked up so well in December for the winter, with extra tins and dried food stuffs. My two DDs have been picking up fresh veg and odds and ends that I needed since then.
Oh well time for another cuppa, while I watch the snow falling outside, it looks very pretty ,but also very cold.

Thanks chums I have everything crossed for tomorrow. I am just hoping to be rid of the drsin that's been attached for the past almost 11 weeks. The SMART nurses who visit to change dressings etc have been brilliant, they also phone daily 7 days a week to check how I'm doing.
From 8.00 am tomorrow morning its only sips of water until I have had the procedure done late afternoon.but I can have a 'light' breakfast before then so I think I will have a bowl of porridge which is 'slow release' so should help out with any hungry feeling It's weird because since coming home from hospital in January I had to make sure I ate three times a day at least, as my appetite had virtually vanished.
It's only in the past week my tastes has returned, and I could actually taste things again. So hopefully I won't have a rumbleling tum tomorrow
I will let you know how things go once I get home again
Cheers chums ,onwards and upwards
