I have my SMART nurse Tara coming today to change the dressings on my drain, so I know she will be hopping mad as well and will go into battle for me bless her.

It was a great disappointment as I have been waiting for this to happen, and to find out because of a bodge up its not happened yet is infuriating, someone will be getting a rocket this morning I expect.

Fingers crossed it won't be too much longer, as my youngest daughter said "At least there's more time behind, than in front now Mum" ,which is true. 

Everythings crossed from now on,if necessary feet, fingers and even eyes At least I haven't lost my sense of humour

might be worth contacting PALs if you need help to get this procedure done.  They are the patient liaison service and are based in each hospital.  Helped me a lot in the past.

Thank you so much,yes I am a bit cheesed off as at the moment because of the drain I can't go shopping or drive and even knitting is painful at the moment.
Some of the stitches have dropped out ! and goodness knows what holding it in, apart from the bandages.
But the SMART nurses are really good bless them, and keep harrassing the endoscopy dept for a date for me daily so I live in hope for a phone call asap.
My eldest DD is off the NYC to see my grandson and his wife next Friday so I'll be down to just my youngest DD who bless her will hold the fort for my shopping and washing. Even bending is painful at the moment.

Today is my gorgeous grandson Jack's 23rd birthday and its the first one I've not been there for him since he was small, but he said he will pop in to see me tomorrow as his Mum picked him up from the school in Goudhurst tonight so he would be home for his birthday.

So its onwards and upwards and fingers crossed chums
