So disappointed for you Jackie. I know the NHS is struggling but I really hope they get a wriggle on to have you sorted asap. I can only imagine how you must be chomping at the bit to get back to normal, even if it's only for a gentle stroll now and again. Hugs (gentle ones of course). XBe kind to others and to yourself too.6

I'm another who is just popping by to see if you've reached the head of the queue yet. I hope that you've had your op and are now tucked up comfortably in a lovely, warm bed but if you're still waiting, I hope next month brings better news. Whatever has or hasn't happened, let us know how you go on because your voice is missed here.
Hoping to hear from you soon, goldfinches.9 -
Thank you everyone ,no I am still being a patient patient
but its had going.
My eldest DD is off to New York on Friday to see my grandson Danny and his pregnant wife Hayley.
She is worrying herself silly, but I told her not to be daft she's only going for a week and not much has happened in the past 8 weeks so its unlikely to happen in the next.
Her sister Tess lived three roads away and will be coming in every day, and my neighbour is lovely if I need any shopping.
In fact my eldest has just popped in about half an hour ago with some lettuce, tomatoes and a cucumber also some diced melon that I can each by the box loadso I'm well sorted for food etc.
I have my sis-in-law coming next Sunday morning bearing another cake no doubt, bless her. and I have plenty of folk popping in while Shelley is away (she's a dreadful worrier bless her ).
I have been watching a bit more tv than I normally do, and caught up with lots of stuff I had recorded. If there is a series I usually record all episodes then watch them back-to-back. So although I'm stuck at home I have plenty to amuse myself with .plus I do jigsaw onlineor my youngest granddaughter will drop in with a jigsaw for me.
Makes the time pass and I try to do a good few crosswords as well.
Today although it looks bright and sunny DD said it was very cold when she came out so I'm glad I'm in the warm as I am a cold mortal and much prefer the sunshine.
So onwards and upwards and fingers crossed I will soon be back in the hospital getting the procedure done
Cheers chums

Hi chums ,the SMART nurse came today to change my dressing by the drain and said she had received an email to say my procedure should go ahead all being well on 17th March so fingers crossed that two more weeks tomorrow and it will be sorted
I'm not banking on anything until I get it in writing, but bless them the girls who have been coming in for the last 6 weeks have been chasing it up as much as possible. Nikki the nurse who came today said the admin was atrocious at times about getting hold of people and even worse about letters ,so I'm hoping a letter will arrive in the next few days for confirmation
I can't wait to be rid of the drain as its such a hinderance plus the stitches that were round the entrance have now all fallen out so I am very careful about what I do.
My eldest DD is off to see my grandson in NYC tomorrow but will be back in a weeks time and said she will come in with me to make sure all is going well so fingers crossed for me at the moment

Fingers crossed that the procedure will go ahead on 17th - you've been a very patient patient! Far more patient than I would have been I think!7
